Belle Vue v Peterborough PSC Thursday April 4th 7.30pm

I note Speedwaygb have used this as an example of 'great heat action' on their website. A tapes to flag 5-1 for the Aces! Great?! -
Poole v Kings Lynn. 11/4/2019 Shield 2nd leg
SteveLyric2 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm sure Poole will keep it close for the entertainment factor. Nobody really wants to see a one-sided meeting with little racing and loads of Poole 5-1's do they? -
Surely if a fanbase is so low - the only way it can go is up?! or so Yazz says.......
-
Jack had bike issues in his first 2 rides - nothing to do with a foot injury. In normal circumstances i would expect him to get double figures. All the negativity about the Stars after just one home meeting I find a little surprising?! But I bet they looked nice and professional in their team kevlars...........!!
-
So tonight sees the first track action of the season for the Pirates against a Stars side wanting a quick recovery from their performance at Ipswich. Teams: Stars: Lambert, Riss, Proctor, Kerr, Jorgensen, MPT, Andersen. Pirates: Holder, Grajczonek, Klindt, Worrall, Kurtz, Covatti, Busk Jacobsen. Several of the Pirates have had track action elsewhere, and with Stars wanting some 'revenge' for last season, I guess it could be quite tight. Thoughts?

How strange?! I thought it was only Poole's track that had potholes!!?? (Incidentally Josh G said at P&P he hoped any holes were still there at Wimborne Road as it gave a good home advantage!!)
-
I expect the local TV cameras will be there on Wednesday for the official practice and/or on Thursday for the first home meeting!
-
No it doesn't but equally it doesn't alter the fact that letting people in free or next to nothing does nothing to build long term attendances or the financial bottom line.
-
Well having turned down 4 approaches whilst waiting for whether Poole may use him later on, that only leaves another 2 possibilities!

Ipswich V Kings Lynn Thursday April 4th 7.30pm
SteveLyric2 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not true. Team manager can name his top 4 riders of which 2 can be voted for in heat 14. The other 2 would then be in heat 15. Alternatively he could keep the top 2 for heat 15 and nominate another 4 for the heat 14 vote. (At least thats how it was explained today). -
Maybe the rumour that Gomolski was on the way was confusing the wrong Kacper?! It was announced at Poole's P&P today that Kacper WORYNA had turned down 4 approaches from Premiership clubs - the most recent from Peterborough a few days ago!! He will only return if its to Wimborne Road!!
-
...and thats worked so well at the other clubs hasn't it?! Matt Ford today confirmed that last season saw a substantial increase in the number of (paying?!) young fans!!
-
Confirmed Clegg replaces Nicholls this evening.
-
I'd be more than happy if Covatti continues to score 7 points - from reserve. As for the Darcy 'story' - anyone would think he's the only rider to ever have a go about Nicki Pedersen - 'awful rider....average human being'!!?!
-
All the main club sponsors at Poole are featured on the riders' racesuits/jackets and bikes, as well as any individual rider sponsors - just as they were last season.
-
He's only posting about Poole riders on a Poole thread. Quite right too imo. Bore off yourself!!
-
Hardly cheaply attired - all riders will have kevlars (same cost as team ones) but with matching race jackets - as they did last season when winning the title. Maybe if the Stars hadn't nicked Poole's club colours, things may have been different?! BTW all clubs agreed to Buster's request as BSPA Chairman to work to their own budgets to at least break even in 2019, to ensure that there would be a Premiership in 2020. Every club has its own (very different) income and expenditure potential.
-
New co-promoter Danny Ford explained that there was the chance of a new sponsor set to fund team kevlars but the deal fell through at the last moment - BUT hasn't ruled them out for the future as they are still seeking new sponsors..
-
why are Poole lucky a week on Monday?
-
Play-offs - Wolves; Swindon; Poole; Belle Vue. Thanks for turning up and looking smart in your kevlars: - Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Ipswich
-
Maybe Gomolski remembers being left in the $~it by Buster last season (or was it the season before?)
-
those were the days, something to smile about.

Hands up all those that have ever purchased something from having seen a bus advert?! As part of a wider and more expansive advertising campaign - maybe but..........? -
Poole are sticking with race jackets for the time being - just as they did when winning the title last year. The Promotion have fully explained their reasons behind this decision at last week's fans forum.
-
Nico is riding for the rebels. Poole will use either Rowe or Atkins.
