  1. I only said 'Shame for Risager!!!'. With this 'Pre-Season Cup' meeting now only on the Saturday it might dissuade some KL supporters from attending Risager's meeting depending where NKI and Bjerre decide (or are forced) to ride!!?
  2. Chris Holder was in the Poole pits in a wheelchair and latterly crutches!
  3. Theres an excellent summary of the latest visa situation in the SS this week! Also explains why each case may be different!!
  4. None at all! So will it be a Kings Lynn Select/Guest team then?
  5. If you read the full article in SS, it explains that Plymouth have to first apply for and get a 'Visa Sponsor Licence' before they can request/support a Tier 5 Visa application for Davies! That's why its different to the Doyle case. Not sure how the other riders/clubs are affected. The other thing is that Tier 5 visas are temporary and might only be a solution for the current problems and will not be issued again in future years. All riders/clubs are advised to apply for Tier 2 to run from/to March 1st each year
  6. Shown up with that one Gav..............!!!
  7. Strange there's still nothing about this on the Stars website?!
  8. Aside from the betting shop streaming, I'm still hopeful that ATR will show meetings on their Sky/Virgin channel - not live, but in the same way that they 'review' some horse/dog racing in between their live coverage from UK/America/Canada/Australia!! They do have a channel to fill 24/7! For those that missed the original press release: http://myemail.const...aid=U9c-ysPz1Cw
  9. Apart from the bits about Swindon this has already been on the 'New Sky Deal' thread since last week!! The only thing not yet clear is whether the coverage will appear on the 'At The Races' channels on Sky and/or Virgin??
  10. Ah but do you think the 'Speedway Star is a Toothless Pussycat'??!!
  11. I wonder if BSI would/could ever publish a breakdown of UK vs foreign attendees at the Cardiff GP, together with a truthful paid attendance?! I'm sure Bob Dugard would argue the point PR!!
  12. Always first with the Speedway news - even when they're not supposed to be!!!!!!
  13. It was reportedly only around £1m per year previously - and that was to sponsor the league as well as to televise meetings!
  14. Very good comeback - but has he got his visa???
  15. Agree - I actually do believe this was nothing to do with Sky!! Why would their negotiators be the slightest bit interested in what fixture clashes there may or may not be?! This was down to Go-Speed, who were contracted to negotiate on behalf of..................the BSPA?!!!
  16. I'm sure I posted this somewhere, but in case I'm dreaming or going a bit ga-ga (which is entirely possible!?) Sky's new deal with Super League Rugby - one of those announced alongside Speedway - is reported to be in excess of £127million (that's the figure that the previous deal was worth!), as reported in some of the national sports and financial pages in the past few days!! The top man at Super League was quoted as saying 'the money would be the saviour of all the clubs'!! So presumably the figures for Speedway are available if the necessary research was carried out?! OR perhaps its such an insignificant sum compared to Rugby League that its not worth reporting?! Still be worth knowing at some point though.....?
  17. Aah was it? It wasn't clear from the early posts!! I'm never awake for the first showing of Q of S, whenever that is. Reading most of the rubbish on here really tires me out most nights!!
  18. Tonights Question of Sport (BBC1 -1930) had 'what sport is Tai Woffinden the Current World Champion?' and nobody on Matt Dawson's team got it!!
