The $5500 fine was for 'fleeing from the Police' - a minimum fine introduced in 2012. The 2-year disqualification was for offences related to not having a licence. Although admitting the offences the 'conviction' is not recorded on his 'file'! The parkland is at the back of his parent's house and the alleyway down the side of the property! A stupid thing to do nonetheless! Incidentally, it would be interesting to know what the punishment would have been if he'd just stopped and stayed with the Police? Just a disqualification presumably?!

As every other Promoter does to their own advantage! ...but he hasn't been convicted!!! He's been fined for a number of 'minor' offences which he owned up to. Maybe - just maybe - Middlo was commenting in the Echo on what he knew really happened on 29.12.12 (rather than the Echo repeating an Aussie paper story) - a few lads messing about with a 50cc pit bike at 0430 hours on a bit of parkland at the back of his parents house!!

I emailed the IMG/BSI Media people and got this response this morning:- " Thanks very much for your email and interest in the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series. We currently have no news on a TV deal in the UK market, but as soon as we do we will let fans know where to tune in to see the GP broadcasts. "

This competition opens on March 1st. You can predict the 4 finalists for each round of the GP series and accumulate points over the full season.

Think I'll wait on the results of DW's ankle x-ray before I place my bet!!!!

Yet they still get smaller TV audiences on a Saturday than EL meetings on a Monday!!!!

Likewise Poole have been doing this for years!! But with the vast age range, as at most tracks, the chances of getting the music to everyone's taste is somewhat unlikely.

Here's an idea - why not ask the fans to send in their music requests?! Promotions could even get their local newspaper/radio sports reporter or their own website to give the idea a plug! I lurrrrrrvvve rocket science!!!!

For someone who is so clearly disillusioned with Speedway, you do your best to put the boot in on many threads don't you!! Surprised you have the time, with running a successful company and all that!!!!

It makes you appreciate how good the Sky presentation is by comparison!! Apart from the 'behind the scenes' stuff, the racing in the heats was very processional most of the time, even though the semis and finals did have some decent racing. I bet someone from Russia will win the series!!!!!
