...fair and done in the past, not all about self interest....exactly!!π
-
That's quite an accusation Lewy with absolutely nothing to justify it!! Everyone on any board of directors has the ability to influence decisions/policy, otherwise why agree to be on it? You might just as well leave it to a dictator....!π
-
John Campbell is now on the BSPL Directors Board (replacing Danny Ford) so surely he will have influence to dictate the Monarch's 1-7 riding order?!
-
Local Echo is reporting that a contract has been offered to prospective no 7 who is working out all the logistics with his father and family.
-
It's still Matt's club though and he's in daily contact with Danny during the season as well as sorting out all the rider contracts. He was also very involved in the successful 'Save Coventry' appeal hearing as potential promoter/co-promoter of speedway which he stated would return at Championship level. Anyway changing the subject, the Poole R.E.F. are holding a quiz night on Weds 15th Jan at Broadstone Royal British Legion Club. Special guests will be William Cairns and his father who are travelling down from Aylesbury.

Wow. Its all got a bit deep hasn't it?! Judging by Poole's trophy cabinet it looks very much like the ambition is still to win every competition Poole are in - whether it be Matt's or Danny's ambition? Or both?! As well as to make a profit. Trophy-winning teams, very decent sponsorship and continued strong attendances on your chosen preferred racenight are a great business model. So why change it......?
-
Starting on Wednesday 16th?? Don't think so........!!!
-
Thank you Mr Morris!!!
-
Those people saying it would have been a big crowd are assuming normal admission prices. Wrong!!! Imo adult tickets would have to be around Β£25-Β£30 to cover costs. And then what effect might that have on normal attendances when money is tight?

Sheffield Tigers 2025
SteveLyric2 replied to InTheDeepStuff's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Tigers fans breathing easier now that Poole have not taken up the ko cup invitation. Back to the really important issues of how to smuggle their own food and drinks into Owlerton!!π€£ -
No Poole v Sheffield ko cup fixtures now so Pirate fixtures can start at Easter as planned.
-
Pirates DECLINE Premiership ko cup invitation!!!
-
Don't understand your 'front page' reference. Sport is usually on back page and inside! My winking emoji was referring to today's AFCB injury and player recall news which will surely be the main local sports story.
-
Especially after today's injury news!!
-
Will has been training with Hancock stateside. There are some Instagram reels......! Ps. I gather there has been a change to the original No.7 target, but all sorted now. I'm sure the announcement will be made to get the maximum local media coverage ie, when AFC Bournemouth are not the main sports story!!π

Deal done - no panic!
-
Depends on what night?and which other Poole riders would be riding for the Prem teams?π
-
Ironicπ So a Poole fan on a Poole thread can't ask a question as part of the discussion? What's your excuse?
-
Where has it been stated that only 2 riders are to be replaced? I must have missed it!?
-
Not sure any 'new fan' would need any negative explanation from any existing fan? 7 Prem teams plus the Championship Champions - They would surely just be happy and content with 4 cup quarterfinals. As for Poole not wanting Premiership, they've been there, lost money, can't race on their traditional Weds race night and still get healthy Championship attendances with 30% less cost! It's a no brainer a d has been well documented.
-
Assuming Poole have actually accepted the invitation from the Premiership clubs? How about Laguta or Lindgren and Lambert or Madsen at 6 and 7??π
-
The points money made him a little cross.
-
A good signing for the Gladiators and I hope Nic is fully fit and recovered from his 2024 injuries. He'll also need to get his set-ups sorted between Kings Lynn and Plymouth!
-
'Wayne Rooney in career change shock!'π€£ "With me and Barker at 1 and 5, nobody will get past us in heats 13 and 15 at the Coliseum", reports the Plymouth Herald.π€£

Nobody has said you are hiding, although most wish you would. I guess you must be grateful your surname isn't Kerr - or maybe you've changed it?!
