Let's hope he doesn't "do a Fricke" then. -
I would like to add, throughout all this, that I am not a Tai Woffinden "hater", just a fan who supports TeamGB and expects British riders to be proud to ride for their country. Not throw hissy fits and fail to back it up by giving reasons why. Woffinden learnt his trade in the UK, but by refusing to ride in the British Final, refusing to ride in the EL until Sweden finished, refusing to represent his country at international level doesn't leave a lot to like. He then doesn't help himself by refusing to give his reasons for dumping our proud national team in the gutter. Even Darcy Ward was fed up with it all and made a comment. You will always get the apologists on here backing him regardless, but the truth is he should start building a few bridges rather than throwing a few tantrums because people have said no to him. He could start by issuing a statement giving his reasoning for quitting Team GB. The would quash any rumours stone dead. But it is the right of the fans to know the reasoning behind him refusing to ride. It's a sport, and therefore not the same as a regular "job".

Jenny Smith's Headshave For Darcy

A shame it couldn't have been done in the meeting interval and would have probably have raised more funds. Anyone got any photos or video of the event? -
Agree to a point, though in fact it won't go away until the fans are told officially what has happened. If the sport had a higher profile Woffinden wouldn't be allowed to stay silent and would have been hounded by the press for a statement.
-
Now they are trying to say, it was just a lark, when Ward was just fed up with all the BS.
-
I don't care what bullcrap you have been fed but what I have said is right. If not, then why doesn't Woffinden release a press statement putting his side of the story? You seem to just believe everything you have been fed from dazzafl (who is this Darren Fletcher?) who is mates with Woffinden and wouldn't have a word said against him no matter what. A simple statement from Woffinden is all that is required. Not asking a lot, is it?

Doesn't matter who we have booked we will still get beaten fairly easily. Wanted to make it up for this but doubt it will happen as I am in Lewes in Sussex on Monday. -

Gate and go Wimborne Road? Are you kidding me? Been to every EL track loads of times and only Belle Vue this year has been better to the racing served up on a weekly basis at Poole. We are lucky that we have a track which allows passing on every bend, as was witnessed last night. I like to see proper passes, not a rider nearly crashing in the fence or losing control to allow a pass. Wolverhamptons track is not to everyones liking. I prefer fast speedway, not riders going backwards into bends. Its a personal preference. To me Belle Vue have got the perfect track, which is the exact opposite to Monmore Green. Some prefer Monmore. -

To me the lots of passing is mostly caused by away rider error and the home rider behind taking full advantage. I have been to Monmore dozens of times and I much prefer bigger tracks. It's just a personal thing. Why not use Harris if available. He is not blocked by the 7 day rule as it was Wolves who used him. -
Of course it was written by Darcy. Does someone actually believe his facebook account was hacked so someone could just make a post against Woffinden? Darcy was just peed off with all the bullcrap Woffinden was sprouting. Even Batchelor came on that thread and liked one of the replies. I know my post about the points money is 100% correct and true. Even Woffindens pal has argued that is the way it should be next year, which as Savalascloutingu21champ has pointed out it more or less confirms my info. I cannot divulge my source which leaves the nay sayers with ammunition to dismiss what I have said. But for those that wanted to know one of the main reasons, well that's been cleaned up.

Poole travel to Wolverhampton on Monday for the elite league B fixture. Terrible hunting ground for Poole over the years and Monday is likely to be no different. Watching the two meetings on Sky this week proves what a tricky little track it is for away riders, with falling and wobbling around getting the bends wrong to allow the home riders through. Wolves fans will defend their track obviously but would I want to watch this every week? Meh. Not sure yet whether Hans will be back or not. He does go OK around there so hope he has recovered. Not sure it will make a great deal of difference to be honest though and expect Wolverhapton to win convincingly. 53-37ish. For Pirates to get 40 has to be seen as a success. Thoughts?

Stroll in the park win for Belle Vue. Not using a guest weakens Coventry too much. -
Poole Vs Belle Vue 1st September 2016
Steve Shovlar replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Until the end of the season I gather. Well that was a one sided affair. For the first few heats I thought Belle Vue were going to put up a serious frght but it didn't materialise. Poole had all bases covered in a great meeting with lots of passing and exciting racing. The track was nicely prepared but on the slicker side. Certainly a couple of the Poole riders, Ellis and Kurtz struggled more than usual but Holder, KK, Bjarne and Newman enjoyed it until the final few heats when it turned more gate and go. A big crowd, perfect weather for speedway and top notch racing. What more could you want? For Poole Holder was excellent. Ran a last in heat 15 when there was nothing to race for. Ellis didn't have a great night. Think conditions were not to his style. Buckowski was an improvement on recent for and had the race of the night. Kurtz struggled. Replaced in his last race. KK was sublime. No one could get near him. Went past Zagar like he was standing still. Untouchable. Newman battled hard for all his points. Bjarne showed some speed tonight and did very well For Belle Vue Zagar was average. S Worrall rode well tonight. Fricke was rubbish. Got a win in heat 14 when the track was spent. Nearly messed that up as well. Nicholls was their best rider and fought for every point. Cook had one blinding ride when on a t/r in heat 11. R Worrall had one win in heat 2 then went awol. Jacobs was not at the races. Of course Poole were strengthened a little by having KK in for Hans, but had Hans ridden we would still have won this imo. Over two legs I feel Poole could have the beating of Belle Vue. However we are not likely to meet them unless its the final. And getting past Wolves with that trick track is far more daunting a prospect. -

Just arrived to big queues at the turnsyles. -
Woffinden has a habit of saying things to suit him. Look at the article in the Sun where he said he rode for nothing. Even Darcy Ward called him out on that rubbish. My source is correct, regardless of what is being denied. And it proves he is no team player by wanting more than 25% of the prize money. There is no I in team. There certainly is no Tai in team. But there is a me. Woffinden has bought it all on himself. A real shame.

Except it means nothing as we will have to go to Wolves for the semi and they will likely stuff us. Anyway, we shall see what happens on Monday but if we get 40 I will be suprised. Weather is lovely down here in beautiful Dorset. Looking forward to a cracking speedway meeting. -
We know who the trolls are and I have blocked one of the main ones. Made the place acmuch better experience. What I posted on here yesterday wasn't a Rumour. A rumour is hearsay.

Weathers good, should be a very big crowd. Expect it to be very tight. Lets hope the Kk that turned up last time re-appears tonight. Bet we don't see the same Fricke from Monday night. Expecting BV to take a point but we must get three to stand a chance of finishing second. -

Great thing to do. Just made a donation towards your going bald. -
Dazafl, as you know Tai can you please ask him to make a statement to clear up any speculation. Surely he wants everyone on his side and not be bad mouthed. A simple few words putting forward his case on his issues would suffice. What are his gripes? I certainly don't think it is asking much. He is a sportsman so different rules apply to people with normal jobs. His fans want to know, and it could put the doubters minds to rest. Give him a call and lets hear his reasoning.
-
Don't eant to go with guests. Look what happened Monday night! If we lose we lose as a team and the team we have had nearly all season. Be much sweeter to win with our team not like Wolves bringing in a ringer for the playoffs. ABW.

Its ridiculous but for some reason they stand there for about 4 hours waiting for the turnsyles to open.
