  1. I changed my day around so I could make it. I was meant to be in a meeting in London today but have re-arranged that so that I am going to Exmouth this afternoon, just about to leave, then onto Plymouth, which I am now not. I have been to all Poole meetings this season at Plymouth. You can find me easily enough on the back straight.
  2. No hate from me. All the crap comes from Plymouth fans. A very abusive bunch down there. And yes, I go to nearly every Poole away meeting.
  3. Hopefully Pirates will smash Plymouth tomorrow making next weeks meeting a formality. Will save many of us the bother in travelling down.
  4. Rain is forecast for tomorrow morning at Poole but doubt you will see is called off until it has to be.
  5. Thing is, a meeting should not be called off until it is guaranteed to be off. There might be a risk of rain later today, but it might miss. Too often meetings have been called off early only for the rain to miss/fail to materialise, leaving a dry evening. Plymouth are not even attempting to give it a try.
  6. Perhaps they could pop down the local Coventry Tool Hire and rent some acetylene cylinders and flame throw the track dry.
  7. If they haven’t got track staff to sort out a wet track (with overnight covers down) they need to take a close look at themselves in the mirror. Swedish clubs can fix wet tracks in an hour. Natural drying during the day should do it. They could pop around the local farm and buy some hay to burn.
  8. So the track was perfect yesterday, covers were put down, and we had a little rain this morning which is now clearing away. Plymouth are so so desperate to get the second leg they call the meeting off when the rest of the day is forecast dry. Are they that inept at getting a race track in rideable order? Pathetic. This really should be turned into a one legged round with the winner going through after tomorrows result. Plymouth promotion calling off so early is giving up. Not even giving the day a chance.

  10. I don’t see that at all. Think Plymouth can win tomorrow night by 6-8 points if they ride to their potential. I am pleased that Plymouth have a team to compete on Wednesday. Flint rode very well earlier this season and scored a sackful. Summers is very very good if he gates. Hans blows hot and cold. Certainly closer than some expect but Poole should, if they ride to their capabilities, qualify for the semi against Glasgow.
  11. Shame for Lublin. Ran out of steam at the worst possible time. Michelsen and Drabik invisible. 12 points too much to pull back. Terrible gating meeting. And riders like Wozniak thrive in such conditions. Lublin needed to keep it to 8 max. Game over.
  12. Awful gate and go meeting with very little passing. Cardiff was better than this. Gates 1 and 4 a huge advantage. Still, we have two in the semis. Let’s hope one makes the final.
  13. Typical Voyens. Been there half a dozen times and never great. Best time was when Trick won it passing Neilsen with a giggling Boyce in third. 93 I think.
  14. You are pretty clueless about this whole thing, aren’t you? Suggest you educate yourself on who Queen Elizabeth 2nd was, and why it’s wall to wall coverage and will continue to be. She was not a celebrity. Your dismissal of her with a minutes silence and let’s get on with life shows just how little you know or understand.
  15. Actually she wasn’t destined to become Queen. Edward VIII abdicated the throne in 1936 to his brother George VI, which put Elizabeth a directly in line after her fathers death in 1952. When Edward Vlll abdicated the throne, 6 year old Princess Margaret asked her older sister if that meant she would eventually become Queen. When told she would, Margaret told Elizabeth, “Poor You!”
  16. It’s been announced by the palace there will be 7 days of official mourning.
  17. Of course it should be run in honour of Her Majesty.
  18. Perhaps you and Fishergate can go out to the pub on Saturday and chat about how you would have easily beaten Poole. And that the Queen has ruined your speedway night by dying.
  19. The lack of respect to our Monarch from some Leicester fans is shameful to be honest.
