  1. It least he is honest !!! If I owned Lynn I’d give them a crap team as it would help my team. The fans and Chris Louis wanted more fixtures with more varied opposition. I believe Chris was frustrated by the lack of change and sold up as for him as his sole income would not be viable. 14 pay days per year is no good to anyone. Doubling up is continuing instead of ceasing. If you double the fixtures in the championship and make all teams have nl standard reserves so they get track time. Exclude the top 22 riders from the championship and give them premiership places. Only British riders to double up and problem solved !!
  2. Well I’m gutted. Seems we have lost our identity and club. Buster now owns the hottest prospect in England in Drew Kemp. Every fan wants more variety and more fixtures so we get less of both. Buster has just bought clubs to prop up the premiership as terry Russell did previously. The AGM has done little to address the real problems just moved two clubs in different leagues. The social media race is open to abuse with opposing fans voting for the other clubs reserves instead of voting for their own riders. Well im now off to cancel my 400 club membership. After 23 years of paying monthly to the save our speedway fund I’m not keen on it heading to Norfolk with our rider assets.
  3. Just like Terry Russell did when he owned Swindon and Eastbourne and put his bruvver in at arena.
  4. I’m very disappointed to be leaving the championship especially now with two extra teams and now we have just six opponents. I will always support my team regardless of which league we are in but I really enjoyed championship racing. My fear is Buster now owns the riders so I’d expect Drew Kemp to be riding for Lynn instead of Ipswich. I remember when Buster purchased mildenhall. He kept the rider assets and sold it on within weeks. Only positive I can see is the derby meetings.
  5. And that’s why our original team failed this year. We built a team which would have succeeded in 2017but in 2018 five teams had two number 1 riders leaving the rest to build solid teams. And that was our problem. Our reserves couldn’t compete. But for the system to work like 2017 we must stick with this plan for a min of 3 years or we won’t see the benefits. We must learn from history.
  6. Personally I would like 7 man teams to remain. I do believe the league is far too strong and if you exclude the top 22 riders and promote two nl riders in both reserve berths in every team in the league. Give the brits a chance. Let those riders double up in the nl to give them plenty of track time and that will help the transition into the championship. Maybe keep these riders at reserve all season to stop poor quality foreign riders and has beens from dropping into the reserve berths.
  7. I don’t believe Ipswich are contemplating going “up” Chris louis will do what’s best financially for the club as it’s his living. He won’t gamble going into the premiership quite rightly imo. Publicaly he has said he looks at the possibility every year which I’m sure he does. Probably for a second and then settles for being a very competitive team in the best run league.
  8. If it is him you will close down soon. Has ruined Peterborough twice mildenhall and Coventry. Well meaning buffoon. And his brother was even worse.
  9. Ben Barker commented a few weeks ago he wasn’t a asset when he thought he was. What about Jason Garrity wasn’t he sold on to scunny in return for MPT.
  10. The stadium is being used on the weekend for a music festival.
  11. I think it is. It’s painful being here. It’s starting to get cold now
  12. Put us out of this misery please. Waiting for the floodlights to come on. This is why fans are leaving the sport.
  13. Well done the comets. Hope you got a massive crowd tonight and another one in the final so you can come to the tapes again next season.
  14. Thank you very much for your updates. We are intending to go. Going to leave around half two so hopefully see you there. Keep on updating
  15. I’m hoping to travel up from Ipswich. Could a kind soul local to Rye house tell me what is the current weather situation is please
  16. Manzares looked a fantastic rider in his first season at Ipswich. His second season was hugely disappointing and it seems he has dropped even further as a full season in the reserve berth should have seen his scoring rocket.
  17. What were the crowd levels like ? Many lakeside fans or more Rye house fans present tonight ?
  18. I got hammered on Facebook a few weeks ago because I complained that mildenhall had cut short their meeting by two heats because a paramedic had got shale in her eye. Thankfully she made a full recovery. It made me think that perhaps a two pound discount on the next admission would be the correct thing to do. Im my job as a carpenter if I agreed to fit 15 kitchen units and only fitted 13 before cutting myself and unable to continue. You would expect me to return to complete the job. But if I said sorry but I’m not coming back to fulfill the work but I still want the full amount I priced despite not finishing. You would not accept that strangely enough H&S had recommended a year ago that the track and medical staff should wear eye protection. That has not happened even after the incident. This isn’t a go at mildenhall as the situation would have been handled exactly the same at any other track. But it’s another reason why fans drift away
  19. Congratulations to ALL the riders for at least giving it a go. Correct decision to call it off. I imagine it was a visability rather than the wet track. I switched off my window wipers for about ten secs on the way home to demonstrate to my passengers how bad the visability would be for the riders.
  20. I believe the championship has got far too strong. Reserves should both be British from the national league and the current top two riders in our case Danny and Rory should Be plying their trade in the top league only. The natural jump from national league to championship is too large as it stands. There are a lot of talented young British rider out there who should be getting track time in the championship without coming against the likes of Cook Morris Schlein etc at this stage of their careers
  21. Think Glasgow v Ipswich will be a epic battle. Witches need to gain 4 league points which is a massive ask but we have nicholls and barker guesting while the tigers have chosen Manzares which makes us slightly stronger imo. Think we will lose by 4 on the night.
  22. I believe it nearly killed the promotion financially
