Only after seeing how good Lewis rode in both meetings perhaps we should have had him in the team instead of Adam. This is no slight on Adam but Lewis is a asset and would ride every meeting. Hindsight is wonderful !!

How did the crowd look compared to last years ? I think Dryml is going to be shocked at how strong the PL is. With many new tracks to visit and some really competive riders I think is going to be a lot tougher.

Hawkins and Ellis at Ipswich. Hawkins has plenty of experience and Ellis has had a year at premier level so should be capable of beating every number 7 he meets. As a combined pair I think this is the strongest pair in the pl.

So sad to see how far stoke has been run down. The track used to be one of the best prepared in the late 80s. Get the product right and many punters will ignore the state of the stadium.

Since wilko rode for Newport people have said he needs to get decent bikes. We are still waiting. A team manager once said to me when he arrived in the pits it was like scrapheap challenge where a mad dash ensued to get the bikes ready with duck tape etc

Jamie luckhurst. A red hot prospect with Wimbledon in 85. Ipswich sign him in 86 and he really struggled and was dropped mid season which was rare back then ! Edinburgh took him on and he was awful for them too

Josh bates guested for us at Ipswich riding at number2. I'm sure he scored 6 paid 7 and impressed that night. It's great to see a local lad ride for his home team. I'm sure Leigh lanham and stead will help him greatly as will screeny.

Mine turned up at the newsagents yesterday !! Yet the jan 4 edition turned up Tuesday. This I know is down to the distributer and not the speedway star as other people in Suffolk have also got the Christmas edition later than the jan 4 edition.

Get Leigh lanham. Great team man who is consistent on most away tracks. He won't gain much on his average but won't lose much either. As a second string he would be one of the best.
