  1. That was even easier than last time, didn't have to come from behind, 10 heat wins in an away match!. Fantastic again from Darce, top of the averages, and the new Monmore track record! Cheers Bomber. Wolves look to be wooden spoonists which is a shame for their loyal fans, but the 2 Swedes are not up to it at 1 &5...disgraceful from Freddie, and PK should now retire. Well done Arsene Rossiter's rampant, rockin red Roobins. After the Wolves good start to the season and Swindon's bad start things have turned round. 8 meetings left, 3 home ,5 away, and apart from Leicester at home all top 5 opponents, so tough run-in, Cov twice away, once at home. Fantastic run at moment for the west-country side.
  2. Best thing to do if you come on a wolf is wipe it off apologize and run like hell
  3. My bruv in Adelaide, originally from London then Swindon, said Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, but not Adelaide, all have more rainfall than London, and there's a place in Queensland that has 7 times the rainfall of England.
  4. Especially if you've bought the said property! I would love it myself, free view of the speedway from the garden or windows. I'm sure I spotted a saw on the ground when I drove past earlier! So fingers crossed! Was sat by The Riverside pub in Lechlade yesterday having a nice cold pint of coiderr...splendid place on a warm evening!
  5. Absolutely fantastic comeback to stun the Ammers. Wardy superb again...great motivation from Rosco, 17-7 down with severely depleted side same as at Wolves fought back yet again to pick-up max points. GO ROBINS!!!
  6. The Mancs are the best team I've seen at Swindon this year and with all the home meetings should make it,,,but Lynn aren't there yet.
  7. Wardy reminds me of the great Briggo in the late 60s...spectacular, natural talent...Briggo could have been even better if he had better equipment!
  8. They are a listed building so cannot be demolished...they will be reassembled brick-by-brick in the new stadium
  9. The Roobins need to win this but not hopeful, apart from the cannon fodder Blackcountrymen some tough away matches, and loads of 'em.
  10. A work colleague from Wantage, once in Berkshire, now in Oxfordshire, used to watch speedway at Swindon, Oxford, Reading, for about 40 years, roughly the same distance from all 3 tracks.
  11. That was a hammering...only 1 heat win...on this display not good enough for the play-offs
  12. As I bloody said 14 trophies is totally unacceptable and should have been given the Big E
  13. Yeah poor record of 3 league titles, 6 Fa Cups, and 5 Community Shields, should have been sacked years ago. Great to see the Purton flyer being given a chance
  14. Bloody ell you're a clairvoyant..do you have the glass ball there. Rosco is the Arsene Wenger of speedway...always in that top 4
  15. Not the Roobins fav track but then neither is Wolves, the Wiltshire boys can get a point here...45-45
  16. What a superb comeback from The Robins...looked dead and buried, fantastic performance from Greg Zengota. Wolves are awful
  17. Wolves 44 Roobins 46...Swindon really need to start winning away to get into play-offs.
  18. So much noise from those women tennis players screaming with every shot! Could be the end for Swindon speedway if the new stadium is not built...drive past every day and will let you know if a wheelbarrow appears on the car park!
  19. Should be same as horse racing..free to all under-18s, the watered down Elite League speedway aint worth 17 quid..if you look at the cost say 40 years ago and take inflation into account shouldn't be more than 12 quid. We used to pay at Swindon as kids in the 60s/70s(although it was a lot easier to climb in then!and we did that mostly). Too old to attempt that now! At least with Wardy riding now gates should increase, same as when Zagar joined 5 years ago.
  20. Great to hear...awaiting the start now of the new stadia in Swindon...lets hope these 2 famous clubs have good line-ups to keep the crowds coming.
