Speedway Star - Can I Have My Money Back?
f-s-p replied to Rob Lee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Indeed. And after a while when you've been "hit" in the face after using that info on your discussions and trusted some plonker who actually had no idea, you'll start to get the picture. Print media really is on it's last legs. Thats a fact, probably even world wide. This is what a "30 year career" in Finnish sports journalism in one of the top6 biggest newspapers said to me face too face this season. And even if it would have legs to stand on, the world is changing, everything is about money and profit and reasonably well doing papers are brought down because they dont generate enough money. Neither would I. It's too hard, rip's easy and a lot more expensive then the soft paper I use. Anyway, I'll check what You have to reply, but then I'm out from this thread. It will re appear in the next 6 months with the same things done over again. -
Speedway Star - Can I Have My Money Back?
f-s-p replied to Rob Lee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
My internet is 480 euros a year for the connection, then I need the computer to get online. Thats another 500 euros spread over 4 years. Beats Spar everyday. NOT On the other hand rumours, results and gossip might be out of date by the time it's in your mailbox. But there's a lot more. There just is. -
Think they rode in Prague on monday to top it all. The price of beer was just ridicolous. My "change" to bring home is over 4000 crowns... 😃

World Longtrack Gp
f-s-p replied to stevec's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
There are two of them, and Erik is more in to LT and the other one for speedway I'm told. But then again, at that age things change over night. -
First of all they all sign in FOR THE whole season in the winter. Then they sign on for the meetings one at a time. No way out with that excuse.

2015 Sgp & Swc Calendar
f-s-p replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Story in the paper on this today. Starting next monday, atleast 1 million euros to widen the soccer pitch by 2 meters, dig up the whole pitch and install heating. The actual home of our soccer team, Helsinki Olympic stadium will be renovated and the team is in exile for 3 years. No mention of SGP in the story, but I bet no one expected it either. They will work as long as the weather allows, then start again in the spring. Excellent and very precise plan IMO. GHOSTIE! Caption of a picture on the first page states: "This has not been done anywhere before... combining football stadium with apartments..." Except naturally in Eskilstuna...? This is regarding another football stadium in town, not Ratina. -

There's no way he can just walk. Please share! Had a drink?

Andersen is one of the wild cards in the 3rd U21 final at Parbubice.

Cant see how Ward is able to "race" anything If the FIM bans him after his failed Alco/dopingtest. Possibly some outlaw-weightlifting, but thats it. Any sport worldwide under WADA wont touch him, if he's banned. Also, what the greying people at the top (and I have photo evidence) need to realise, is that they are setting a benchmark. By possibly giving Darky another pass, they are infact stating that it's ok to drink and ride around the world. A"Black'n-green"men to that.
-
But we are now talking about reserve/substitĂște riders, not wild cards.
-
All that above stands for the Challenge as well. Just change Bsi to FIM. And thanks Phil for the clarification.
-
I realise this is going beyond pedantic, but MJJ was already in Gorzow for Ward. Thats where NKI got hurt. Still, I do need to keep track on whats going on.
-
MJJ is replacing Ward for now. If Ward comes back, MJJ will start to cover for Iversen. He's the the only substitute at this moment. For Iversen, BSI/SGP commission can pick anyone they like since they have the right to do it according to the rules.

Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept
f-s-p replied to screm's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It is. 2013 Challenge in Poole had Smoli 4th with (32032) 10 and Harris 5th with (23122) 10. No need for run off, Smoli wins on countback with more heat wins. And Batch became 3rd substitue with 9 points only. Having written that, I sort of get what you are after. But the situation is different this time, as we have 3 riders tied, no chance to decide via countback and only two substitute places up for grabs. -

Cant do countback with similar scores and riders winning each other in rotation. It's a runoff or ballot. Current rulebook says three substitutes. MJJ was and is 3rd on subs list for 2014. Batch and another (Harris?) were before him but were taken in to the series after Gollob and Emil withdrew. -

FIM rulebook. 070.11.3 Ties In all run-off heats concerning the ties, the starting positions at the gate shall be balloted in presence of the Jury President. Unless a more specific regulation is applicable to the competition the following will apply: Individual Speedway and Ice Racing, Track Racing Sidecar 1000cc For all meetings, after the official programme of heats has been terminated should there be a tie for the first 3 places or for the last qualifying place or substitute position to go forward to the next round, there will be a heat to resolve the tie. -

Official results sheet from Lonigo states that 5th THJ, 6th Pawlicki and 7th Covatti have been balloted. Now until someone explains me otherwise, I say that an error has been made. There should have been a runoff between the three to decide riders fininshing 5th and 6th to make for the three substitutes under the current rules for 2015. With Janowski being 1st substitute as it stands. Dont even mention Zagar, it's irrevelant AT THIS stage. -
