  1. and heres me thinking the draft was created to further the careers of the british reserves, this is newmans 6th season starting at reserve , but some clubs put winning above a riders career
  2. fell in it? or hanging out the back of it...
  3. im sure poole be looking to someone like maksim drabik, pawel prezpelski or similar as number 8
  4. nothing will stop poole winning again...... even when they have top riders injured they have the biggest pockets to sign yet another top rider ,all the other clubs have to go with guests or r/r as they simply carnt afford a hancock or co add to that the consistant rule bending thats seems to be a regular occurance every play off time i await to see the next episode of skullduggery its better than eastenders........
  5. didnt poole do something similar , ....tractor driver dug a hole on turn 1 , play off semi's live on sky with a stadium full of fans
  6. firesticks just as good for 35 quid and a peice of piddle to put a kodi build on ,
  7. they wont agree to that....the club that wants squads just happens to be the richest and the one with the most rider assets....hmmmm now what must be in it for them????
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJgVR2yPHBc&app=desktop
  9. Q....corruption, bungs, fiddles, they happen in most other sports , do they happen in speedway, how important is it for clubs to be successful???? could it be make or break for some clubs? or could it be that for the clubs that continually win everything there fans will accept nothing less than success and any failures will result in significant attendance decreases?which then puts added pressure on the management to deliver success would they then turn to underhand ways of doing things?? at the end of the day money makes the world go round and less fans means less funds .... just asking a few questions.......
  10. remember being at brandon for the british final when kenny won on a wet track, me my dad and a fairly well known sky presenter went together in my dads old morris minor traveler... fans were left waiting about an hour after the rain stopped for the riders to decide what to do, some didnt want to ride others did, in the end there was some cracking races when the track had dried a little
  11. yes an actual slap , he wasnt gonna be a div and punch hans with his helmet on ..... and some sad excuses for speedway fans clapped hans for knockin him off
  12. student id cards have the date on ie 2015-2016 so if a student did leave early and was using the card it wouldnt be forever
  13. clubs have to address this before it becomes a problem with loads of fans streaming live via there phones to other fans
  14. why aint poole picked jack holder as there number 8 ?
  15. clubs need to think about creating a streaming site for their club , theres a lot of older generation that arent as mobile as they used to be that perhaps used to go every meeting but can only go now when health allows, surely a yearly contract for access to home meetings could be worth thinking about
  16. why is newman at 6 he should be at 1-5 , and is it true that this season he starts with a 4.10 average, last season his average was getting on for 8 here lies skullduggery
  17. how has cook to that conclusion..there are 8 teams in the league i presume they wud have one vote each . how many ride weds? about2 out of 8 ....wolves monday coventry friday lakeside friday belke vue monday leicester saturday leaving swindon poole and kingslynn
  18. carnt see itgoin ** up amytime soon there loads of exciting polish youngsters prezpelski. zmarlik.pawlicki.to name but a few.
  19. its ckear what the rich team or teams want:- the elite to be like poland/sweden with a 15 match league on a set race night so theycan bring in the top guns all bankrolled of course by sky or bt
  20. what is the point of wanting and or getting the top riders to ride over here. when most of the time they dont try or dont turn up or the track conditions severeley restrict there talents!!!! we need to take two steps bk to go one forward. when poland first started league speedway there fans wanted the top stars as there were no decent polish riders but they didnt break the bank and sign loads of them they were resticted to one or two foreigners per team and they slowly built up thefollowing and slowly built up the quality now its the top league in the world
  21. you proved me right...the reason why speedway is not the same as snooker and darts is cuz a lot of kids have never heard of speedway so therefore it needs a brand new type of structure put in pkace to start from scratch... to get these youngsters aware of whst there missin...also before anything is even thought about or discussed the track prep for quality racing needs to be addressed.you aint gonna get any new fans with crap tracks infact you will always lose fans cuz those new ones will not return. i have so many matches where the track should of been so much better.
  22. carnt see why the sky deal will have much to do with going set nights. the skydeal will only have one yr left after this yr so whats the point. maybe if its to appease sky so that theylk sign a new deal then arent having too much say over speedway. imo british speedway needs to start from bottom up not top down concentrate on creatin new top british riders for starters and concentrate on making the tracks the best they can be for racing. the promoters arethinking too much about bringin the top riders over here . but its a total waste of money when they dont perform cuz our tracks are crap
  23. snooker and darts were totally diffwrent to speedway in the fact that they had much bigger fan bases and tv audiences in the past. so in a way they were sleeping giants just waiting to be reawakened . speedway is different the fan base has gone it will need to be started from the beginning basically and built up frm scratch compared to snooker/darts
