Its more than just a speedway meeting these days. It is a gala day a great occasion and considering the improvements and team this year we should sook it up hopefully next year we see no more hikes. If they include a scoresheet then its all good.

Cook might not have darcy's natural talent but he has worked on his speedway skills and is now hot property. Imo someone who hasn't got the natural ability but takes strides like cook has in the sport has earned his status. He's Craig Cook thats his brand he ain't trying to be anybody else so no need to compare him to other riders.

He is destined for great things he has talent and attutude to go far in speedway. If edinburgh and cook want to go another season, would the stumbling block be bellvue moving to a friday? I strike a guess Cookie raced in over a hundred meetings last year....phew think of all those road miles. he can ride most tracks like the home number 1 and reckon that the bigger track at the new national speedway staduim will have his name next to track record holder. If he can get a squad slot in poland maybe do half the season then he'd be a busy boy.

I rule id like to see added is a mandatory track reserve or number 8. If the draft rider gets excluded then the number 8 can take his place. After the meeting ends the draft riders from each side and number 8's have a 2 heat race contest for a bonus point which adds on to match score so a 3 point home win would then be a 4 point win or away win by more than 6 with the bonus heat win is a 5 point win. This could add a bit of meaning to their track time. During the meeting the number 8 must spanner for the draft reserve and inbetween work with captains of clubs pit crew to gain experience and learn the trade.
