But he did remind me of C3PO wearing those daft gold headphones in the pits Sunday gone. Cert. a character.

Ill take your word as cast iron then. truthfully, I hope its shennanigans proof. -
Saw the crash on Sky. Quite fearful the clatter he took to his arm. No confirmation, but it ranged from shoulder to wrist damage pending his hospital scans. In some level of pain apparently though.

Sorry, but likability in the pits does not cut it here. Is he the 'iron man' because of tenacity shown or because he lights up the scanners at every airport he uses. Those injuries add up and catch up. We, as a club, have shown more loyalty than many- given last year's blip and a certain Anders Anderson- but this sport is now a numbers game and we just aint playing it properly. As to who bring in? Quite frankly, as a pure and simple supporter, who of us are truly qualified to make those judgements. I merely wish to suggest that, at present, we are as a club going exactly where without intervention. As I have said before Where is our home advantage now? sod fair play! Only our riders should be able to ride OUR track. -
Hopefully though, not enough to allow the cement to dry around our already embraced 'wooden spoon'.
-
Now we have a crocked Rose, where do the promotion take us now! Or will we continue to be the northern branch of Premier Inns and open our arms to yet more dubious 'guests'

Finally, some sense- if some dodgy {sorry clever} promoter does not find a loop hole. -

Yeah, it seemed unconfirmed as to the extent of Lewis's injury, but be it shoulder or wrist, if long term maybe now is the time for a re-shuffle. Rose is our primary reserve so like for like is allowed guest wise I believe, but still poss. a move for someone who would push Henry to reserve would be advantageous giving the apparently Teflon coated Nielsen a further lifeline. I know of at least one promoter who wants him gone. -
Bugger! how did I forget Deek.

Working Thursday, so thank the Lord I have an excuse to miss what is highly likely {hope to be so so wrong} to be yet another away defeat. The Scunny match will of course claw another £17.50 out of my on-line wallet, but whether that continues is yet to be seen. -
Up to a year ago prob. Adam McKinna. Now?

Cert. can see that too, but given the loss of fans, can they afford to? If we are in a Scunny style financial position then say so. Do I want to see a winning team this year? Yes, of course, but not at the expense of us folding mid winter. And for those out there citing the 'buy for success' route, I have one word- Glasgow. -

Very much ditto to your first point, but his EL form has been there and there abouts for the most part lately. Guess his old bones took a bit of time to recover from his start of season spill. Before the death knell is sounded on our team yet again for a woeful performance, the riding kevlars of both Robbo and Garrity should be noted. We were beaten tonight by two members of the high flying Coventry Bees, who are my bet for this year's EL title. -

Garrity's erratic riding style is, I believe, an element of his success. It has to be in the minds of other riders in the race alongside him that being collateral damage to him crashing is always possible. Yes the riders are tough, fearless etc. but they also know who can be trusted to not ride in a potentially dangerous manner. I don't believe there is any actual malice in the lad, just a 'go for all' attitude which either works or does not. Has he ever had any major injury? -

Cant help but think that for some reason we are prepping a track which no longer favours the home riders enough any more. -

With Graz. and Robbo , this should make for an interesting evening with Sheffield. Still think the three points will be ours, but the score line might be a tad closer than is usual for a Diamonds/Tigers meeting. -
Neither had Chris Mills but he did a job for us and Richie seemed to also as a guest?
-
Richie {no Hawkins, not Worrall-mores the pity}dropped by Ipswich. Can anyone see an opening at Brough for this lad?
-
Sorry about that. I quoted you in a semi drunken haze. I would guess we have similar views re. the hangers on, but somehow read your post as in their defence.

My post was purely meant in defence of all those people without whose work the seven guys in Kevlar would not be needed. I know too many people who have eyes only for the riders and see the rest as nothing more than the person who sweeps the factory floor.
