Never a truer word spoke. And it is supposed to be a 'purpose built' race track Laughable!
-
If Kerr has been looted by the Panthers I hope their sponsors fold before the season starts so we can nab him back.
-
So now no Robbo. Does this mean a certain Swede at no.1? If so stand by for the 'silver crusader' to wind us all up It does put a few more points in the kitty though. Would last year starters plus Richie for Robbo work I wonder? As to Robbo- did he leave by choice or was he pushed ala Lemmo. At least the speculation has woken up this thread
-
Starting to look like if he ain't burnt his bridges with the Diamonds, he has cert. doused them in petrol. Shame, I would have liked to see him return to rekindle his career after a lack-lustre season at Foxall.
-
I guess he should have had the sense to give George as much warning as possible. I wonder just how long prior to George's call that Richie knew of the Polish invite.
-
To me, Richie no doubt had an invite courtesy of his main sponsor. Would he be sensible to knock that back and a chance of Polish intro's just to ride in a fixture which we had no chance of winning.

Newcastle V Edinburgh Koc Semi-final ?

Bugger! When was that announced? Surely Richie would not have taken the booking under those circumstances. Is this revealed after tonight's defeat? I would prefer to believe that Richie had those tickets as a 'freebie' which he would have forgone if we had a realistic chance of winning. His season has not gone well and Poland appears on hold, so a return to his happier hunting grounds up here is not totally out of the question surely. -

If true then we are truly screwed, lest a good Summers like replacement. So no truth in the apparent fallacy that machems have thick sculls then. Cue 'White Ian' -

Only applies to the same home team surely? -
As long as the play-offs exist with a cut-off date for league fixtures to count towards standings they will always have precedence in the mind of the clubs. Maybe a similar 'cut-off' for cup fixtures would force so-called 'early season' comps to be run more sensibly. Sure I can remember us lifting the league cup in late July/August in the triple winning 2010? prior to play-offs.

I would cert. like to see a couple of 'big' stars answer the call just to make the night more memorable. Even if some could make an appearance to sign autographs maybe and or do an interview. I guess Polish commitments will rule out many though-mores the pity. What about Kenny Bjerre? Given his long term Peterborough connection and his kid brother riding on the night, perhaps he could be a contender?

Bloody dog track owners wont let us lest it blocks a full view of the little doggies legs- would you believe it! -

They still do the curry and chips by the way. The fumes do mingle well with methanol vapours in my humble opinion! -
Hope I ain't missed a thread here, but if not lets start with this. Just seen on a Sheffield thread that they are without Mr Stead for the duration of the world cup. I guess that means that we have been de-throned also. With the Cookie monster also TeamGB bound, does that leave us facing Eddie Kennett's Rockets under-powered at the top ala early season.

Somerset V Newcastle 18th July

Unless of course one hits a nerve, which I clearly did with you with my unguarded comments re. a certain health service and horse riding people of N. American heritage. Not, believe me, a flippant comment, just a reminder that when someone gets a bee in their bonnet, they are prone to 'go in all guns blazing'. This forum has few enough 'regular posters' and for someone with 12000 plus posts to be cowtowed simply for posting a contentious opinion is IMO also a witch hunt. For gods sake, if we all on here played 'nicey nicey' the responses, if any, would do justice to something akin to a vicars' tea party. -

Nail on the head 'their own track' Mongering at its best, but as to his return. That would be a yes-if we strengthen- by it? -

A classic example of a 'borderer' then And to Tsunami also. Tried to post a 'like i't on both replies, but some strange forum prob. prevented me. Really good to hear that we had a hand in creating the 'villain' of modern speedway. -

And you put your bikes in your hand luggage I suppose? At Brough tonight when the score was read out the resounding combined Diamonds/Bandits cheer was nearly the loudest of the night. -

Nothing wrong with hard riding imo. Not a spectator in the Nicki P. era. Could anyone tell me if he was as 'naughty' back then as well? -

Good to see Kevin Doolan back on form. He had been a shadow of his former self on a couple of previous visits. The real disappointment to me was Vissing, even Liam Carr is showing improving Brough form. -

Getting back to the actual on track stuff we can expect tonight, can I welcome young Mr Nielsen to our team proper and wish him well{assuming he is fit after his debut crash out at OTA. A withdrawal on debut has to be your nightmare start} Good how our website keeps us all informed as to injury and team updates isn't it
