  1. Well I was entertained tonight. Whether that continues remains to be seen. I will go next week just to see Eddie Kennett tackle Brough .
  2. Inflated EL average conversion IMO. Def. worth his pay packet now though.
  3. Clearly either not at todays meeting, or perhaps more of a long track devotee?
  4. There will always be good riders who prefer small tracks and good riders with a preference for larger tracks. Then there are the really good riders who can ride both. At the end of the day who wants to look mediocre on a track not suited to there riding style? Bet that Kenneth Hansen took his guest booking with a view to learning Brough. Its what proper riders do- learn and make money. Think we tried for him as cover for Robson? a couple of years back, but average was too high. Perhaps the promotion are like minded?
  5. Can be bothered to learn how to ride a technical track more like.
  6. Yeah, while I am all in favour of 'brown belt' building, it would prob. kill our sport short of a clause protecting it sound levels wise. I cant see myself driving up to Berwick other than for a truly tasty looking meeting. As for the STMP, I am a shift worker, so that kills that idea- thank god
  7. Then at least his riding down time should allow him, finances permitting, enough work shop time for repairs. With luck the mechanicals will be okay in a repaired or new frame.
  8. Hopefully his bike is equally only bruised and that his check-up also goes well.
  9. Believe that to be double 'a'. Hope he proves to be A+ class on track too.
  10. Your capacity as the font never diminishes, any news on Henry's injuries? And is Hansen going to be a reserve?
  11. Good for the info re. Henry. Hopefully nothing too serious. We chucked a very real four points down the Derwent though from what I can gleam- an cluster***k if ever there was one.
  12. As a neutral, good to see young Liam Carr back scoring points in the PL post injury. Mixed feelings I guess for the Bandits faithful. Don't get me started. Down at Brough we seem to have created the same problem. Sod fair play and give the home riders HOME advantage. The really good riders should be dialled up after their first ride anyway and the also rans are exactly that.
  13. Or to out- good luck Christian. Ambulances on track are never a good thing- their actual need often bodes ill.
  14. Ah yes, the wonderfully, be that woefully inept piece of twaddle brought in to keep the 'dead match' alive. One of SKY'S better? ideas!!!!!!!!
  15. Surely tomorrow we have Tero in Henry's main body birth, so as to whether we need a NL guest- given that the boomerang has once again failed to sufficiently bounce enough to avoid injury- I leave to the rule gurus to hypostasise upon. If Hansen still fits though, then why not?
  16. I want to believe that Henry's injury threw our lads a curve ball, because if not, we simply threw that match away. No killer punch in this team for sure. As for poor Christian, his injury jinx continues to blight his career. Hopefully nothing too serious, but could be that Konopka may be in Diamonds colours again pretty damn soon.
  17. Tero Aarnio in for Lewis Rose at Newcastle Diamonds.
  18. Newcastle may regrettably be bringing a pit prop over to Derwent Park to shore up your teetering spans come Saturday night.
  19. This change seems to be a reasonable one. Henry should 'take' most reserves and Tero is a 'trier'. Has an unfortunate tendency to fall off at least once in a meeting though, so maybe sometimes tries too hard. A likable guy who should soon have the 'faithful' on his side scores permitting. Since I suggested him as a poss. candidate several matches back, I hope he has some success. If he can merely score at around Henry's average, then his placement will allow us to fill the minor places for more four or even five ones. Too many times this season have I seen a Diamond win a heat to merely keep the overall score as level as before.
  20. A sense of total apathy is setting in I think. Reckon that at any meeting the vast majority of home fans are season ticket holders who are just trying to get their money's worth.
  21. The Muppet or the cgi version in the later films, cos one moved like the proverbial greased whatsit, while the other was a tad slower. Hang on, I think I see what you mean here.
  22. Were Ludde and Simon just going to practice or was it one trying to help the other with something?
  23. Stress of captaincy perhaps? Maybe give it to Christian again, was he any good at it?
