  1. Thanks for the trackside input. Sounds like a good live meeting to watch. We all go to watch a pass on pass style meeting so yet again we have supplied it to your viewing public, better if all the lads had come to the party though.
  2. A smiley saves a thousand words then TWK. Or a blister on your typing finger perchance?
  3. Good news, just the weather to stop his home debut now- reckon he can take Carr for sure, but Kus?
  4. No points, sure, but an okay showing- just a pity we could not use Nielsen. Bet in the same scenario Poole would have wangled it somehow!
  5. As usual I await with baited breath the views of any actual spectators as to whether the score line truly is representative of the two teams actual Oaktree showings.
  6. Very one-sided and disappointing performance from the boys tonight. Really only Danny was on true form. Robbo, by his standards was below par and Ludo, I am afraid has merely re-stocked TWK's ammunition locker. Hope Nielsen has not been bitten too hard by the Newky injury jinx. Just where are those nasty friction burns I wonder?
  7. The guy is a hell of a trier on track and a true character off it too. A loss to the sport for sure, but as already said his health post ret. and in later years have to have been the deciding factor. Everyone knew that the time he has lost, with his 'hard as nails' approach had to point to a serious medical problem. Plus points to him also for standing aside and allowing Newcastle to move on too.
  8. Whoops, the poetic version rather than the sporting alternative. Clearly your GCSE English revision paid dividends here. {Good luck come August 21 by the way} Agreed though, a good point expected, but a little too long with guests IMO, surely there is a promising young Dane out there willing to join our finishing school. Sorry, but all the good Brits are seemingly already spoken for.
  9. Any result inc. Redcar loses at home to anybody will always raise a titter here at Brough.
  10. So we are Owlerton bound come Thursday night and another tussall with Sheffield. A welcome one on track for sure, less sure about the one with their ever over zealous academically challenged testosterone fuelled so called security contingent. But enough talk about 'hand jivers', on a less flippant note, can anyone shed any light on our on-going injury situation. Is Lewi R fit or even less likely, is Schrammbo set to be unleashed?
  11. Not paying the prices in the Brough bar though. It would take a bank loan to get pi....d in there.
  12. Sorry, but it seems like more when you are standing twiddling your cheeseburger{already bought during a stoppage} praying for the restart.
  13. Welcome any time he rides like tonight- even in Sheffield colours.
  14. Not the only Newky fan to have suspicions about that second bend. Away supporters only see one or two meetings here, but a good few of us 'expect' to see slide-offs, falls or full on crashes in that vicinity. A minor miracle tonight when the three heat 10 fallers managed to limp back to the pits on their own steam with Kyle later withdrawn as had both Ben and Rasmus been previously as a result of crashes in that same location. There is a school of thought down here that with the intro of the air fence, riders {from both teams} are more prepared to throw themselves down our quite short starting straight often resulting in less than perfect bike control as they enter bend two.
  15. I have always wondered what the great mystery there is in our website rarely naming a guest rider? The latest blurb posted this morning-though poss. written last night- makes no mention. Did the club really leave it so late in booking a reserve replacement for such a long term absentee?
  16. With a has been Aussie! AS a Diamonds fan, I am truly sorry for the cheap shot. Please prove me so dreadfully wrong Lemo.
  17. Ain't read it, but glad it seems Redcar are standing behind Lawson. To me the old adage 'no smoke without fire' has always rang true throughout this thread. No direct rebuttal from Berwick and -to now- no official castigation of Richard Lawson, to me equals dodgy dealings were afoot last Saturday.
  18. Like it Keith- classic example of knowing what I want to say, saying it and still fuffing it up. But our website is woeful for passing on info. You would be surprised how many supporters would check their club website, but never check, let alone post on a forum. This is where you get real news {and a fair bit banter too}
  19. Come Friday, the Diamonds visit the Scorpions to begin a double-header which culminates at Brough the following Sunday. While it seems Robbo will be back for Sunday according to 'the rant', will we have his services on Friday or does the rule re. concussion rule him out? Is it guest time yet again?
  20. This person adversely affected an entire stadium full of people and if they were incapacitated in some way prior to or during the meeting, then also the safety of the riders. I actually detest the Jeremy Kyle style programme, but this is a medical professional we are talking about and it is not unreasonable to have a clear response from Berwick.
  21. Actually I am {as many on here are} still waiting for a clear statement 'he had not been drinking and was not under the influence of' from the Berwick management.
  22. Actually I would like to know the details! Especially whether the seriousness of the 'emotional problems' may have resulted in some 'dutch courage' being self prescribed.
  23. But for the so-called MC of the BSPA, he would now be a Diamond pushing for full international honours- something they seem to find less important than balancing their own personal agendas.
  24. Thankfully merely an miss-informed Plymouth fan. Robbo concussed and back next week according to Ranting Roy. Whether that means he is available for Scunny on Friday is open to question.
