Where you at the meeting or is your opinion from your keyboard looking at the scorecharts? My opinion is my point of view from witnessing the meeting and the luck probably evened itself out.
-
I don't think you would have won even with a full team ! Autys been poor at the OTA when riding for Scunthorpe and his r/r scored 5 tonight which was prob about par. The Rebels had 4 retirements/exclusions in the first 8 heats so some back luck and Tungates bike packed up again in heat 13 and this more than cancelled out losing Bjerre for his last 2 rides. We even gifted you a 5-1 in heat 15 by nominating a reserve and a second string! Decent meeting though with some excellent racing - Allen and Wright stood out for the Rebels and Danny King was very impressive for the Tigers. I thought the score overall flattered the tigers and was scewed by the 5-1's in heat 13 and 15.

It's one meeting - give them a break ! Josh got injured and Rohan fell twice but did beat Holder in heat 13. I hope Josh is ok

King's Lynn Vs Somerset 5th April Premiership
RebelDan replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looks like a comfortable home win for me,Josh and Rohan didn't score that well there for Swindon last season in either of the two league fixtures. -
I don't know exactly but substantial club assets have used by Poole in the last 5 years whether overseas or not. Kasprazak, Bjarne, Holder, Watt, Kurtz, Madsen, Ward, Janoswki , Milik etc
-
Disagree. Ask Matt Ford, it's no coincidence that the club with the largest asset base have dominated the EL in recent years is it ? Club assets give you options and bargaining power. It's fine in the PL having limited assets as Somerset are a great club and pay riders on time, but the EL is a different ball game. Clearly the final 1-7 this season is some way from the team the club wanted and Gary May admitted during an interview at the presentation evening, that they were limited as other clubs 'held onto assets'.

The club can't moan about not having first pick on riders for team building purposes and being made to wait for riders to be released by other clubs when they continue to sell assets. Masters alongside Charles Wright now sold this winter. They will just have to accept not getting their first picks and being left with what's available.
-
So you have to lose 8 points from your teams starting GSA , therefore to make a meaningful team change (say bring in a heat leader for a 2nd string) you need your combined team average to be around 38 points ! mmmmm we will see
-
I am sure someone said that once the new green sheets are released you can only build to 42 points and not 50, which wont give much room for improvement. If correct, this could make for a very long season if you initial 1-7 don't perform.
-
Not for long as they keep selling all their assets
-
Bates was beating some heatleaders and even beat Doyle last year. Much stronger than Allen But lost to an awful lot of dross as well. You can only judge them on when they rode against each other last season and Allen wins hands down when you look at the results home and away at Somerset/Sheffield. Allen race wins vs Bates 6 Bates wins vs Allen 2 Allen also had a higher average by nearly a point and top scored for the Aussie in world U21 SWC.
-
I can't imagine a rider averaging 6.5 in the PL attracting a large transfer fee and providing a nest egg for the club. That's another rider we won't get first refusal on when team building.
-
Why have the club sold Charles Wright to Poole? Gary May moaned on Monday night about not having a large asset base and clubs stopping them talking to assets, and then Matt Ford announces they have signed Wrighty less than 2 years after the club signed him? It makes no sense
-
Think yourself lucky - 12-18 year old prices have gone up by 50% and the club are now charging from 6 years old which will hardly encourage families to come in greater numbers. I will now have to consider picking my meetings as it will cost me £30 per meeting to come with 3 kids prior to any food or drink.

I think BWD could replace Graveson after 8 meetings when averages are recalculated
-
The arrogance on here from some Poole fans is bloody funny!
-
I don't think there is much between them the difference is Allen is getting better and Klindt has found his level. Jake top scored for the Aussies at the U21 SWC ahead of both Kurtz and Jack Holder so he's no mug.
-
To be fair to Brummie Rebel there's not much 'debating' going on
-
After 4 riders have been announced - lol
-
Nonsense - both solid team men and fully committed to the club
-
No I don't think so Josh is an U-21 Aussie who is supposed to be one of the next to make it at a higher level.
-
Agree that it's v unlikely as he'd miss too many Friday's. But in fantasy land you could have Peter Ljung in place of Masters and Josh Pickering at reserve with BWD.
-
I'd have Brady but he seems Poole bound Peter Ljung looks good value at 7.67.
