  1. I totally agree with all your points, slightly off topic, but was at Edinburgh last night on a boiling hot evening and must applaud the track man as it was perfectly watered!!
  2. Looking for any advice as I am struggling to find a direct flight to Samara airport Russia any help would be appreciated
  3. The big surprise for me is how poor Nick Morris!!
  4. Booked at the Diamond Lodge just up the road from the stadium, and only just got a room!!
  5. Wherever you got that information from, but its spot on
  6. Atleast Gavan posts constructive comments
  7. Well I can honestly say my pockets jingled more when Maggie Thatcher was PM
  8. Yes its moved on to another level, back in the late 60s early 70s Mauger & Olsen took it to a very high level of professionalism
  9. Whilst I agree with you regarding PC & Morton at the NSS, NEVER forget also just how good Chris Pusey was, very underestimated rider. Remember my parents taking me to a grass track in the very early 70s to watch PC, Pusey just blew him away!!
  10. In all the years I have been watching speedway, for me personally & been very fortunate to watch Tomasz in his prime all over Europe & particularly in Poland, NEVER seen a rider so graceful on a bike. Thomasz was by far the best rider I have seen. And so missed
  11. Tai the best ever, in this era I would say yes. ALL time best ever hard to say, me personally from watching speedway from 1968, such a list of who could argue the best ever. I would have to put Mauger & Olsen right up the top of the list. Then you can look at Hans & Eric in the next batch of riders, how many more WC was left in Eric ? I certainly think a few more! Then the Rickardsson Crump era, one cannot deny the achievements of Tony that COULD make him the best EVER. But for me, the best ever rider to grace a speedway track would have to be Gollob
  12. 100% correct, lives majority of the time with his GF in a flat in Berlin
  13. I have read some bewilderment posts in my time, but this beets all, he's give up his time to attend a meeting to a rider that as graced us, that now has life changing injuries. Fair play NKI, take a bow
  14. The reason why engines wont work on anything other than concrete is because 90% of tracks are as slick as a board!
  15. Zmarzlik dirty, nah, no more than ANY others over the years, the list would be endless!

  17. Hi John I always go to the California Reunion, would be most helpful if you know what ex-riders will be attending, just so it gives me time to sort photos off John Somerville, many thanks
