  1. Great racing tonight again from the Bears for another win. Shout out to Ben Rathbone flying during the second half. Well done to the Gems on another win. They should get signed up for the first team. ;-)
  2. I quite liked watching the racing at Newcastle. It's a technical track and different. If they were all the same it would be boring racing.
  3. Yes like Jacob Bukhave who was glad of a team placing, fitted in well started to find his feet and score well then be shown the door despite being told he would be given a chance dropping his foreign committments to focus on the team. Proves one thing now. Never ever trust Promoters or Managers.
  4. I don't know because watching them at Newcastle on Sunday gone they were well behind the Diamonds points wise apart from Barker. We have Wrighty, Tofty, Andersen and Greaves that can do well on the night. I might be wrong, but never say never.
  5. Did changes need to be made as I thought the team were gelling well. Do you the fans think Ulrich was really needed? I hope for the fans he scores well for you
  6. Next the prices will be going up at Brough
  7. http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=101001&fbclid=IwAR1s_uSRqgFBBwwr2h-a4w4WKQuyGL8RDK0y6wN3TnEAGEau7gd1s-pd60k Numbers game puts Jacob out.
  8. Only my second time ever at Brough and I quite like the way the track is and yes it's a technical, but if all tracks were the same the racing would be boring.
  9. He said he enjoyed it last night and even though it's only his second home meeting 7 points was good IMO I hope he goes on to score and ride well for the Diamonds.
  10. I'd like to see if they could get Barker in for the Diamonds
  11. Might silence some of the doubters now as he has been getting his set up to try and make it right for Brough and can't complain with 7 points.
  12. At least the Newcastle promotion are going to give him a chance to ride and settle in . I was gutted for him when he spun at Eastbourne a cruel blow when on for a 5-1. Not bad when he was the highest scoring individual at the Julie Lewis Memorial meeting beating other well known riders on 11 points. Changing sprockets and altering the bike last weekend made his bike go better at Brough last Sunday later on.
  13. @ Dandelion Also Jacob's goggles got covered in dirt he couldn't see, but got sorted.
  14. We were there with Jacob tonight and he had a few issues with his starts, so his mechanic changed the sprocket and some other changes and as you say it went better for him. It was nice to hear the fans shouting for him and talking to him after the meeting. First home meeting, so hope it goes better for him as he needs a chance to ride for a team here and hopefully score more. My first time at Brough Park and enjoyed the night and good to see some familiar faces there. I'm glad the management are giving him a chance with no pressure so he can get settled.
  15. Mint meeting tonight. Great racing and good crowd. UTRB
  16. http://www.redcar-speedway.com/2019/04/05/bears-tame-the-tigers/?fbclid=IwAR1l0bmVhl12laCwCktbOPoEOzECi5pSIkPX9CC73ZYBx5hOd-vkqSbKs8A
  17. If the council wanted to help out they should of give the comets Derwent Park and let them run Speedway there while they go and build another stadium for Rugby and Football elsewhere. That way it would of been ideal training track too if land over Northside is earmarked for development.
  18. Cracking meeting tonight. Sheffield out the blocks first and thought hope we don't get beat, but the Bears fired on through and Mauled the Tigers even though they put up a great battle it just wasn't to be for them tonight. Agree on Ref situation was a bit radio rental. Was glad to see some Comets fans across including Tony Jackson. Just gutted i'm not going to see any racing there this season. Another good win for the Bears and hope they do well on Sunday.
  19. What ya blaming Ged for? He had the team last year going great and even though he sold the Panthers on if Buster had left him run it and done as well this season you would of been singing his praises. Ged Rathbone is dammed when he does and dammed when he dosn't.
