Some consolation for last night is that even if we’d kept it reasonably tight it wouldn’t have been good enough. Glasgow far too good for us over the two legs and clearly had their baws kicked for the cup debacle. We’re going to need 15+ lead to take to Poole to have a chance in the cup

Sounds a bit reactionary but that score last night isn’t going to do Worrall any favours if he fancies staying at the Monarchs next season. I still think we’ll have to lose one of the heat leaders and think it’ll be him who misses out.

Not at all. We’ll know pretty quickly whether we’re at the races tonight. If Richie, Sam and Josh are all on song we could take the win and close any gap near the end of the meeting.

Why would they change it? Programmes will have been printed, guests assembled based on cup rules etc. They’ll run it as planned. Don’t seen Edinburgh coming through the tie though so is fairly academic.

Disagree. British Speedway needs to make an effort to arrest the current decline. I don’t have the answer on how it is done but strengthening the top league has to be a better plan than running down the championship.

Agent Heeps should be under strict instruction. Nailed on for a 2022 Monarch’s team place I’d say unless the Tigers come waving their cheque book.

Edinburgh have pulled equally iffy tricks in the past I’d say. It does make a bit of a mockery of things though. That said Heeps has a low average this season for a reason and might not fly out the traps as he’s bound to be a little rusty. It still strengthens the Tigers though no doubt - big night for Drew (again).

Their fans are tiresome and seem to think they’re down here doing us all a favour.

Poole back to the Premiership please. Oxford into the Championship has to be on the cards too given the comment from the track owner about Friday night meetings. I think they’ll stick with the rising star system but maybe tweak it slightly.
