No team is winning away at Armadale with that top three IMO. Pickering has improved year on year and I’ve not doubt he will again. Masters is pretty much unbeatable at Edinburgh with Worrall not far behind.

Who would be in a better position? The supporters of the teams who you seem to be saying are irrelevant and need closing probably wouldn’t agree. I’m not suggesting that running with low crowds is ideal but if it’s realistic and sustainable (big if) then what’s the problem?

No-one is under any illusion that CL is thriving but if you somehow think that because you’ve got the odd better rider that the PL with seven (soon to be six) sides is entertaining and the future of the sport in Britain then you’re delusional. Speedway needs to cut its cloth and doing so at CL level is easier.

On average each PL side has maybe two riders that aren't also riding CL? It's a guess but can't be too far off. Is that really worth the lack of meetings and having to in some cases to adjust your meeting nights for?

Does anyone seriously think the overall product on offer in the PL is better? Yes, there are (an ever decreasing number of) better riders but there's about four teams in the league ffs. The Championship has greater competition, individuals events, the pairs, the fours, local derbies. There's just much more going on. Oh and you don't have to put up with Kelvin Tatum and Nigel Pearson visiting your stadium every now and again. Poole will be a good addition and very much look forward to welcoming them to Armadale.

Agree. I fear the authorities won’t go for it though. We all know the Championship is the better league but the authorities will be desperate to protect the Premiership.
