With such a late start to the home season you have to wonder about fixture congestion later on . Will riders be available ? Also will the fans be able to afford so many meetings in such a small time period? I think there'll have to be some kind of price incentive from the club to encourage sufficient numbers for home matches

i'm starting to call bull$hit on this, there seems to be too many problems, my son in law is a civil engineer and he's more than sceptical that a simple thing such as a base is the root of all the "problems". What are the chances on not seeing any racing at all this year at the NSS ?

with the general consensus being that the EL is getting weaker, should we ban GP stars from it in case other riders get demoralised too ? Or should we let younger riders gain from the experience of riding with the top guys ( who are normally happy to pass on help / advice) and aspire to follow in their footsteps ?

keeps their eye in when the EL goes quiet over the summer, you can't live on 1or 2 meetings a month. Or you could just let them twiddle their thumbs then moan that there's no young British talent coming through. ZW at Brummies last year was a "novice", he was also a two times world junior long track champion, now with a good average, when will he be considered by some to be "too good" ?

The only whinging seems to be from fans of clubs that haven't managed to get Ellis, if Cradeley / Coventry / Belle Vue etc … had signed him, there'd be just as much moaning, just from a different set of fans. I've watched him a few times over the last couple of seasons and he never fails to deliver, any other young riders in the team will learn a lot from him. Just ask anyone from the Brummies last year .
