Leicester Lions 2016
Countershaftcounter replied to Big Al's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's all from me, now over to Bob on the sports desk ….. -
Almost as sad as the fact that they seem to not be able to attract a major sponsor or sort out overcomplicated rules. But i'm sure they'll pat themselves on the back with this PR exercise disguised as a forum.

The more this drags on, the more I think they should have gone PL -
Birmingham Brummies 2016
Countershaftcounter replied to Brummie Kev's topic in National League Speedway
I think BWD will struggle in the PL this year, if his old man is to be believed he's had all new equipment and van supplied for him over here ( that's two years running after Dugard supplying everything last year), shame this kind of stuff couldn't be found for "British" riders !!! -
Barry Hearn....
Countershaftcounter replied to le sorcier's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How many coloured / ethic minority supporters do you see at a meeting ? That's a huge untapped potential audience. It's the 21st century, judging by some of the comments on here what modern day corporation would want to get involved in a sport that hasn't involved in either organisation, facilities or appeal in decades. Above all Hearn is a business man, he wouldn't touch speedway with a bargepole -

In terms of social media the world has moved on and speedway hasn't. The fact that you can't put any clips online without permission beggars belief, how the hell do you expect to get the sport known when it's still being run in black and white ? -

Since day 1 the elephant in the room is that god awful logo, i've seen on Facebook that it's now been transferred to merchandise . Was it designed by someone in the clubs 8 year old kid ? It's awful, it looks so amateurish. -
i'd like to know if i could have my subscription put on hold over the winter months, 90% of the "news" is on here days before it's in SS and the rest of it is just pre written features about "the good old days" yaaaaaawn

£800 a pop for kevlars ? I bet no one pays that, ( more fool if they do) -
so if i buy three engines and one goes bang….. where do i send it to be repaired / do most suppliers have a large supply of parts ?
-
The elephant in the room over 26 pages on this is that no one has yet mentioned a definitive price yet. Why so scared ? They know how much it has cost to get them to this point, or are they just trying to work out the maximum price they can sell it for ?

How Do We Attract A New Young Audience?
Countershaftcounter replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
one only has to look at the old uns bickering on here over .25 of a point etc... the rules are far too complicated in what is inherently a very simple sport. The risk of bumping into someone like TWK would make yourt avarage teenager run a mile -

If there was the money in speedway to pay a decent wage all year round that may happen in our sport too. Unfortunately most riders have to work manual jobs, and will try other forms of motorsport in the winter to keep fit. -

I tend to avoid the Poole threads in the close season, it's basically a bunch of dribbling morons waving their dicks about. If it was amusing it'd be worth the odd visit but they really do spoil it. Can you imagine a future fan / sponsor coming on here to check it out? Would you want to be associated with that drivel ? -

you seriously have to wonder about the fragility of the mental state of some posters on this thread -
According to his old man he's being supplied with new kit so it should be ok
