Holoub cant be on a 3 average after his 4 home and aways? even he went to a 5 he would still be a reserve. sorry not to see Thomas as he would of fetched the stay away fans back from this year but i can understand he probably wants paying No1 noney. i too would like a team with a "big" no1.. cookie, stead, king,barker etc but i cant see us getting their likes if we cant afford thomas. so me for Josh will be no1 josh alex carlos ryan zebedee leigh adam ellis and i can see carlos, alex, leigh, possibly zeb swopping reserve places hence building a team to strength Home one week and away the next would be cheaper for the fans as you should in theory have 2 meets a month instead of 4, and it lets the training schools and amateurs to run. As pointed out fridays suited some more than the others but the motorway closures made it difficult for travelling fans, home and away as they couldnt get in time after leaving work, sundays were good in the old days but was that because we were competitive? But i know that all the people who championed a sunday better turn up, no excuses like "well its was a hot day so we went to cleethorpes" I am one of those shift workers and could only get everyother friday so already rob has increased my visits 100%?

Excellent early crimbo prezzie, NOW everyone who has an interest in scunny speedway MUST get behind rob and the team by attending as much as possible, hopefully by moving to sundays will improve the crowd, we may lose a few from fridays but gain more from sundays... win or lose please support them and lets have another 10yrs ,

I saw the telegraph feature, may be good news if the pre agm ideas go through, so i quess that must be a draft system? 2 brit reserves or 1?. yes carlos is scunny through and through and a fans fav, just wondering which assets on loan we have, TJ, Matt W,Ash Birks?, is Ash definatley taking a year out? the "awesome foursome of Josh, TJ,Ryan and Ash" woud get fans back,throw in Carlos, if its 1 brit at reserve then throw Alex back in at reserve with Adam Ellis

not really, josh, ryan missed most of the season, tj wasnt there, zdenek and leigh joined with a few meetings left and 2 new reserves

We might hear news this weekend if Scunny run so ive started a thread so if we run and adopt the draft system....this what i think the team will be josh auty thomas jorgensen ryan douglas zdenek holoub leigh lanham adam ellis matty williamson personally id want carlos wilkinson in for leigh and another reserve for matt, nothing against matt but i think workington suits him more, but he is a scunny asset so i can see rob using him.plus it depends if the league adapts the reserve only races like elite league,

we are not memtioning neutrals as they wont be away fans,as i said before some form of membership card, most clubs have them or season tickets so you could show that, scunny have neither so maybe introduce a membership card? also some clubs have a couple of turnstiles open, use one for away fans,, dedicated fans who go to all meetings home and way show the teams colours, if you were a home fan and used the away gate to save money then youre not really a fan as youre robbing the club,

i think most riders do to be honest,just quessing that people have put 2 and 2 together and thought he was retiring?

most supporters who go to speedway wear their teams colours etc so i couldnt see a sheffield fan trying to get in for a tenner wearing a scorpions top. not every one has a season ticket so maybe have a membership card?

i like the idea of making it cheaper for away fans,say a tenner? encourages a bigger crowd, id be tempted to go to more away meetings as it could be as a "day out",

1...scunthorpe v peterbro for me... just epic, scunny 8pts down by heat 12 then BOOOM.... 5-1, 5-1, 5-1....rob had done a rallying call to everyone, fans and riders to help save the club and this had the wow factor, even rob throwing himself to the ground,it seemed everything had fallen into place, a fairly bigger crowd than usual, a great team effort and correct result, couldnt of asked for any thing better......if he still has a doubt about running next year id suggest thinking back on this meeting. 2.... scunthorpe v plymouth, last meeting (ever)???.... everyone thought or wanted plymouth to win so they could reach the playoffs, by heat 5 we were 8-16 down and the rumour mill started....then BOOOOM again....6 5-1s in a row 38-22 then a 1-8 from plymouth to keep their hopes alive 3.... scunthorpe v ippo for all the wrong reasons

i believe number 7 will be NL, ie williamson for scunny along with a brit at 6.so maybe wilko partnering, maybe over a 5 average maybe too high so it could be wilson.domt know how the format would be, like el? reserve races?

just seems strange to me that a reserve in the el now could be a pl number 1, ie, steve worrall or josh auty, , would the system be run same as el? 2 reserve races?
