Personal Match Of The Season 2015
Paul Johnson replied to KIRKYLANE's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
1...scunthorpe v peterbro for me... just epic, scunny 8pts down by heat 12 then BOOOM.... 5-1, 5-1, 5-1....rob had done a rallying call to everyone, fans and riders to help save the club and this had the wow factor, even rob throwing himself to the ground,it seemed everything had fallen into place, a fairly bigger crowd than usual, a great team effort and correct result, couldnt of asked for any thing better......if he still has a doubt about running next year id suggest thinking back on this meeting. 2.... scunthorpe v plymouth, last meeting (ever)???.... everyone thought or wanted plymouth to win so they could reach the playoffs, by heat 5 we were 8-16 down and the rumour mill started....then BOOOOM again....6 5-1s in a row 38-22 then a 1-8 from plymouth to keep their hopes alive 3.... scunthorpe v ippo for all the wrong reasons -
i believe number 7 will be NL, ie williamson for scunny along with a brit at 6.so maybe wilko partnering, maybe over a 5 average maybe too high so it could be wilson.domt know how the format would be, like el? reserve races?
-
me too andy,
-
just seems strange to me that a reserve in the el now could be a pl number 1, ie, steve worrall or josh auty, , would the system be run same as el? 2 reserve races?

my scunny team....josh, tj, ryan, theo ,alex +2 brits, one would probably be matty williamson so no room for nike, carlos, derek holoub... i know josh has been thinking about packing in but hes a racer and i cant see him doing that, and i also think a lot of riders will not be riding next year -

scunny build the teams with reserves in mind ,where as the top teams build with a strong top 5, if the rules change to having 2 brits in reserve then if we sign nike lunna again he will not be a reserve but in the main team on under a 4pt average, same as most to the reserves in the league -

i believe the reserves will either be one 4 and one 3 average or two 3 pointers, so maybe one already in pl and one from nl? -

i heard that too,, one on a 4 and one on a 3 average, both british and 38,5 for main team, im presuming these will be nl riders? -
scunny didnt use a NL guest, we used a MDL rider as rob rang about 20 odd riders but only 1 agreed to ride, rob decided he would probably score zero and plumpted for our own rider, plymouth is a long way away and i dont think riders want to go only to score 1 or 2 points, you cant really blame them for that whilst scunny is more central and makes more sense to use a rider from sheffield, especially if they havent got a meeting. theo was given a 28 day ban for riding in fridays practice and as rules state you are allowed a facility.he had a sicknote for thursday so you are allowed a facility, hes banned for sunday and again are allowed a facility,
-
when does theo have to be at longtrack? when is the race? does he have to be there on friday for practice? i believe that theo intended to ride yesterday, today and sunday as rob would of said hes unavailabe, same as lyager this week and got a guest in earlier, i also think as captain he will be there tonight to thank fans and set off later in evening, most riders jet off same day or next day.
-
he will have a sick note for not riding speedway, if he wants to ride in an individual meeting in longtrack i quess its upto him, and again the team would of been announced to plymouth and peterbro as soon as theo was ruled out, wouldnt they have protested by now and got us to change?... how many riders have been injured for their team but still rode in gps?, didnt riss ride grass/lomgtrack while being out for his team?
-
not having theo makes us weaker which is best for your team lewy, having guests is not a gimme, i would easily say theo would score double figures on friday, will our guest? probably not, seems to me its all in plymouths court to win on saturday at rye house as it was pointed out means we move above rye,i dont think we are going to hand you the playoff spot, you will have to earn it,i also dont think any scunny supporter would begrudge your lot finishing 6th,
