  1. TBH it seems a little silly/pointless to me. But it's 4 meetings, so hardly going to make a difference either way.
  2. Darcy Ward 10.80 Jason Doyle 10.55 Niels K Iversen 10.36 Maciej Janowski 10.28 Andreas Jonsson 9.23 Peter Kildemand 8.91 Matej Zagar 8.88 Rory Schlein 8.77 Chris Harris 8.56 Chris Holder 8.31 Scott Nicholls 8.03 Troy Batchelor 8.02 Fredrik Lindgren 7.68 Craig Cook 7.66 Nick Morris 7.66 Hans Andersen 7.27 Peter Karlsson 7.07 Dakota North 6.96 Joonas Kylmakorpi 6.91 Grzegorz Walasek 6.83 Grzegorz Zengota 6.83 Davey Watt 6.77 Mikkel B Jensen 6.76 Edward Kennett 6.59 Kim Nilsson 6.48 Kenneth Bjerre 6.43 Danny King 6.33 Robert Lambert 6.23 Ricky Wells 5.92 Richard Lawson 5.75 Josh Grajczonek 5.67 Max Fricke 5.42 Kyle Howarth 5.19 Jacob Thorssell 5.17 Kacper Gomolski 5.15 Vaclav Milik 5.14 Tobiasz Musielak 5.00 Jason Garrity 5.00 Szymon Wozniak 5.00 Kyle Newman 4.96 Lewis Kerr 4.71 Josh Auty 4.67 Stuart Robson 4.43 Steve Worrall 4.35 Nicklas Porsing 4.18 Piotr Swiderski 4.18 Charles Wright 4.16 Bjarne Pedersen 4.14 Ashley Birks 3.91 Simon Stead 3.84 Lewis Blackbird 3.78 James Sarjeant 3.16 Adam Ellis 3.10 Paul Starke 3.03 Stefan Nielsen 2.87 Josh Bates 2.58 Mikkel Michelsen 2.57 Simon Lambert 2.09 Lewis Rose 2.07 Ashley Morris 2.05 Eduard Krcmar 1.95 Adrian Miedzinski 1.54 I've included every rider regardless of the number of meeting they have ridden*, so the likes of Michelsen, Miedzinski, Pedersen and Stead are wrong. It means no need to using PL average for reserves, no need to "heat leader" list. Sorted. And quite nicely, if you remove Ward, Magic and Kildemand, take the top 56 (8 teams of 7 riders), add their combined averages and dive by 8 (teams) you get 40.29 which is about right for the points limit. *I know theres a few odd riders missing (summers and swiderski for 2 as I need to update the database to let it know they had signed for EL teams) but it's most riders.
  3. How are they being held back? If they get an average high enough they'll now go into the 1-5.
  4. Which makes the list pointless and doesn't fix any problem, if anything it makes things worse. Sing Hans can use him as a second string despite the fact 18 of his 20 meetings were heatleaders meeting. Yet sign Jacob Thorsell and he has to be a heat leader despite the majority of his meetings being as a second string and him still only being 6.18.
  5. So they were! I was looking at full season averages, not rolling averages. Consider my wrists slapped for posting false info!
  6. Surely you want want a 4.7 rider who can average 6.5?! I don't see how it can work like that. In the past if you got a good first pick you had to have a lesser second pick to even it out but now, if you have a good 1st pick you have used up points in the points limit, so if you then got a crap second pick you lose out twice. If they're included in the points limit then you don't need to rank them and clubs should just be allowed to make deals with anyone they like on the list. Worrall is 3rd BTW, Garrity, Auty then Worrall.
  7. About 4.7 converted from his PL average
  8. If thats true it's brilliant! Brilliant as it's so wrong. Mikkel Bech ended as Lakesides heatleader but not one of his 20 meetings in his average was riding as a heat leader, while Kennett is the opposite. Sam Master not one meeting as a heat leader but is now one too. Aaron summers 8 meetings as a second string, now deemed a heat leader (he wasn't going to get a job as a second string anyway). Madness! It should be anyone whos average has X number of meeting as a heat leader is a heat leader. I'd say 12-14 meetings personally. I'm working on it!
  9. Anders Thomsen takes up that slack though. What you're close to guarenteed with that team is 9 point a meeting in 13 and 15. Thomsen will be capabable of beating most other teams second strings too. Looks pretty good to me.
  10. Personally, I'd be doing everything I could to sign Anders Thomsen. Comes in on less than 4 but is every bit as good as the likes of Summers, Lawson, Josh Graj.. so is a bargain. It then means if you go with Harris, Jason and Sarj as well you have 21 left for 3 more riders so you could look at someone like Doyle without having to worry about taking up points as you've saved on Thomsen. You then have about 12 left for 2 more riders, Barker and King? Barker and Joonas possibly fits too.
  11. Bjerre? His form in Poland was blistering last season. Averaged about 8. He is as close to guaranteed a Polish team place as anyone, anywhere. As for his EL average, I'd say that makes him hot property in the EL. If I was a PL promoter I'd give him a call as you never know but I'd expect him to laugh at me.
  12. I'm certainly hoeing Anders Thomsen makes Kurtz look pants. Just for stevebrum
  13. TBF the track is bigger than Cardiff so it's probably a little difficult to full gauge size correctly. But I did think the same as you.
  14. Not of foreigners are willing to come over here and ride for peanuts and take away your opportunities. Yes the top riders will, the the ones who are only likely to be 4 point men won't.
  15. Correct. Unless of course the conversion has changed. I'd say it's irrelevant though unless Newcastle want to pay him Polish league points money
  16. Now whenever I have seen U15 racing they got on with it and all seemed to be running around, helping each other, encouraging each other. I'm sure they can be stroppy little buggers because they're teens but I wouldn't have said egos.
  17. Trust me, that bits not true! you have to go down to u15 level for that these days!
  18. No. Fans complicate matters. They mis-read things (on purpose in some cases im sure) to make things look worse.
  19. Zengi shouldn't be. He only rode about 2 or 3 meeting as a heat leaders.
  20. Because he's not the 5th best rider in the league. More like 15th
  21. The irony of a PL fan complaining that rules mean they don't get to see the best. Go EL then!
  22. Hans has always had stropy moment then he is happy again before another sulk. I was hoping he'd get over his strop and sign for us again, especially once AJ had signed for Lakeside. I bet we get left with Zengota now, or even worse we just swap him for Barker and keep the same team!
  23. I'm guessing (no, hoping!) that the 4 meeting average will be literally 4 meetings and NOT rolling or it all seems very odd. Where I think you're making this difficult is you think an average should determine someone ability and historically you're correct but now they're just used to compare riders of the same level. So for example you can compare 2 reserves averages to see how they compare but Frickes 6.1 average, Hans Andersens 6.3 and Steve Worrals 6.3 average are not comparable at all as one was reserve, one heat leader and one a second string. While you're right that the draft riders EL averages don't reflect their ability as proper EL riders using the traditional format, they do reflect their ability compared to each other. Possibly. Kennett last year didn't use his season before EL average. And those averages were attained as second strings (both about 5.5) where as at reserve you have to fancy they'd both be closer to 7
