  1. Need to ask his bird what she thinks. But she apparently didn't like the travelling he was doing when riding for BV!
  2. The issue is that EL clubs were allowed to build to 46 EL points at a time the conversion was 50% (rather than todays 60%) which meant every EL team seem to be using Scott Peglar and Graham Jones in reserve and they'd have been 6.5 rider for PL teams. It also didn't help that the rules were no R/R for EL teams and Poole turned up at Coventry using R/R for Lukas Dryml who was riding in the Polish league!!
  3. You think a new stadium will be better than Brandon? Most newer (as in last 30 years) tracks are more or less tracks in fields. Newport and Leicester built stands but they were nowhere near Brandon scales. We're never going to compete with the Ricoh.
  4. I just don't see what's in it for the EL clubs. And it's ok saying things are closer these but are they? Garrity could be Coventry number 6 yet a PL number 1. That means Coventry have 5 riders stronger that the PL teams best rider, 1 who's equal and a number 7 capable of blitzing the reserves he's going to meet in the PL team. It'd be 65-25 even at the PL track!
  5. Its not like he needs to be there to collect any awards!
  6. Well it's not be cached or backup by any of the usual sites. So if he deleted it be deleted it within minutes.
  7. Honestly couldn't care how many chance a rider has. The wildcards should, IMO go to the 4 best riders. Thats Kildemand, Hampel, Emil and then I'm not so sure, it gets a bit less obvious. As we know Emil doesnt want one we're left with only Hampel and Kildemand being the 2 riders I'd certaily be offering a place to. We know a Swede will get one for commercial reasons so thats for me has to be Lindback. That last place is then troublesome, AJ always ends well but someone like Vaculik is a better rider generally but has failed badly in the qualifiers and was very "meh" in the Euros.
  8. Pedersen has said no such thing on twitter. It's a blatant lie. And frankly most of what Masters says that we could see ourselves was wrong too, which makes me wonder why anyone would believe the stuff he says that we can't know one way or the other.
  9. Used to get some interesting "team riding" when they were paired together at Coventry in 2010! In fact Barker took out Kennett right at the end of the season and broke his ankle! I'd pick Barker over Kennett every time though.
  10. Im sure someone will come up with a time it didnt happen but when did the rider in 9th place in the GP series not get a wild card? 9th always gets in and as much as I'm not a fan of Kildemand, he is entertaining and has proved he is one of the top 15 riders in the World (would have finished 4th based on points per GP in 2015). It hard to argue a case against him really- as to do that you need to list 4 better riders. Emil and Hampel maybe but then Emil doesn't want a place anyway!
  11. You just don't know with KK, he could average 6, 9 or anything in between. He can score 2 or 15 and anything in between. I wouldn't sign him in March but if o needed a rider after May and you could see what he was doing in Sweden and Poland it might sign him.
  12. I think that'd be about fair tbh. Wouldn't mind 7 either. You don't get rolling averages that far back, plus I have no idea and without getting out year books and calculators I have no idea I'd guess about 7 tbh.
  13. I've not looked at the odds but I'd be shocked and amazed if Hamilton was not out and out favourite. 3 times Champion in a sport the BBC show and it's very popular (whatever individuals might think)
  14. I'm happy to trust you on them riders then and lets hope it's true and they can be convinced. As they're going to be needed. They need to get some pretty solid indications from the riders they'll ride over here before agreeing the points limit.
  15. His last official average was 7.94. His 6 meeting intermediary average was about 4.5 and his 11 meetings that season were about 6.5. So take your pick!
  16. True, which is why actually given a choice of use my list of averages (tweaked for riders like Pedersen and the others who didn't race enough meetings)
  17. Rumours suggest he's a Bees in 2016 so he can't be at Plymouth.
  18. Watt wouldn't be on the list of I did it. Dak would. Most are obvious one way or the other. Then you have a few who you have to look at the stats (Watt and North) but the stats are pretty clear. Then you have the likes of King and Kylmo who are border line either way. I'd say any rider who has raced 14 or more of his 20 meetings as a heat leader in 2015 should be a heat leader.
  19. Averages do win meetings. What an odd thing to dispute. I'd agree with you on Bomber though, not the man you want a number 1 IMO.
  20. And there's the folly of a 40.5 limit. That team is a point below it but has 4 heat leaders! So how the hell are teams going to build up to the limit?! Because the likes of Barker and Worrall are 5 point men. You can't magic up some 8 point men to replace them, they don't exist which is why Swindon signed a 6.5 rider to replace their top of the averages and Coventry has to go with guests to replace an 8.5 gap. Lindback and Pawlicki are not coming back. Pedersen has retired from GB speedway and Mikkelson is a 5 point rider, as is Mads. THIS! You have to compare the team to others. And that teams looks pretty good to me. It's ok saying "King as heatleader" well he was when Brum topped the league and half of last year when we were ripping the league. While Bjerre is an 8 point man in hiding, and Barker a 6-7 point man in hiding.
  21. Dakota should be on the list. His average is so low due to being a heat leader for much of the year.
  22. Add up all the riders who ended last season in a 1-7, divide by 8 (8 teams) and then replace Magic, Zagar and Kildemand with 5 point men. You get get about 38.5. What you have to remember is the average team will get about 42 over all. But the BSPA have decided to then remove 4 points by making draft riders between 3 and 5 rather that 4 and 7 by using PL averages. The tier two riders will be 3 because the BSPA have already announced they'll come in on converted PL averages. PL 5 equates to 3, only Starke and Bates are higher than that and it's not impossible Starke could be a tier 1 rider! Last year I was told I was went, I was a doom monger etc. Well Wolves finished on 27 and Leicester on about 29. That's 7 and 5 points under the limit. That's not good for anyone!
  23. While I agree with you, there is an easier way to get riders out of the NL. Drag them into the PL/ It's not good forcing top riders out of the NL because they have been around 2 or 3 season if the PL won't sign them is it? If the PL HAD to sign a NL rider every season you'd soon see the NL riders being promoted up the ranks and not needed the NL for so long. After a spell in the PL they would then be dragged into the EL and with any luck we'll soon enough see an EL and PL full of British talent. But while the PL does very little (they have made a half arsed effort in 2016) this just won't happen.
