  1. I assure you, Coventry agreed to no two year deal!
  2. With a 40.5 limit and one of your reserves being limited to 3 (due to the draft) and the other reserve being 5 at most you have 8 teams needed to find 34 points worth of rides. There are NOT that many points worth of riders available. Wolves and Leicester could do nothing last season so why is anyone going to be able to do to now? The teams with a bit of money will sign up to 40.5 leaving a few teams 2 or 3 points below the limit and possibly with Zengota and/Summers on inflated averages. The points limit is too high. I said so last year, I was right. This year it's the same and there are less riders. It's madness! For BV and Poole it is. Coventry it's about that we averaged but the rest it's too high. And that's before losing Magic, Matej and Kildemand. For BV and Poole it is. Coventry it's about that we averaged but the rest it's too high. And that's before losing Magic, Matej and Kildemand.
  3. I don't think you get this. If Coventry offer AJ and Scott a team place and they turn it down then Coventry are within their right to say they have to be bought. That means BV and Lakeside have to buy them if they want to use them.
  4. Because it's relevant. A 40.5 limit is too high. When the league then loses 17 points worth of riders with two more quitting it makes building up to 40.5 go from difficult to impossible for all. So if you don't get a move on and sign riders quickly you'll be left in the rubbish. People ignored my warning me last year and we saw Swindon would have been buggered without Ward, Leicester were screwed and Wolves could do nothing. A high points limit causes problems.
  5. Its not about wanting to buy. It's being told you have to buy. You sign a rider on a two year deal then you run that risk. If Mick Horton is too soft to make people buy his assets then he's a mug. And BV have done plenty of buying recently. Lakeside are not adverse to it in recent times either.
  6. Agreed on KK. I like KK when he on it but it's 50/50 which one you get. Also agree on Watt. Bjerre is an odd on, on his average you have to consider him but I get why you don't want him to sign. Troy's not dissimilar but he's I'd avoid him too. At least Bjerre I can see some positives this season.
  7. As a Bees/Garrity fan I hope he's back at Sheffield. He has always risen small tracks well but it took him signing for Sheffield to really come on on the big tracks. He seemed to like being there, you seemed to like him. And a happy Jason Garrity is a brilliant Jason Garrity, let's hope it stays that way.
  8. Nice 30k cheque on its way to Coventry Speedway then! As if they offered him a 2 year deal we couldn't sign him and we can't demand a transfer fee. Same with Nicholls. What's the point owning riders who are happy to do two year deals elsewhere? Especially as we can't offer anyone a two year deal this season. If I was Mick id be flogging anyone I could this season.
  9. So what do you want? Magic is quoted in the Swedish press, how do you better that? Magic inviting you for tea and telling you himself?
  10. With no Magic or Zagar in 2016 we need to get a move on signing riders. Just having a team built up to the limit will be a major advantage in 2016! Just not with Summers or Zengota.
  11. What I believe is true is that Garrity and Newman wanted nothing to do with the draft as the pay wasn't enough and we're all for quitting it and taking their chances at getting a 1-5 place. That changed when they upped the pay rates.
  12. Swedish press. He wasn't sure between UK and Sweden but got too good an offer in Sweden.
  13. I'm not sure Barker will be in the Plymouth team.
  14. Well that's not true. And shows how little you know! A British rider in Pooles 1-5 without being forced to by the rules?! Haha!
  15. When Crump, Nicki and Rickardson won their titles it was generally with a round to go and by a long way. Holders went to the death, Woffys first although going to the last GP was a formality and only took that long as he crashed in the GP before. Other than Holders title most have them have been wrapped up with round(s) to spare. Edit - how could I forget Loram. That also took until the final semi-final too.
  16. Chris Harris' 0 was the best GP 0 I've seen. A couple of breaks here and here and he could have "easily" scored 9
  17. Until the final that was a brilliant GP. Hope Jason gets away with that one with as little injury as possible. As for that final, had that been Nicki in red and not Greg we'd have 10 pages on here now. I'd have excluded Greg but then I think there's far too much all 4 back.
  18. Oi, no! Let me believe for a little while longer there at least some change Jason is going to sign for Coventry! Stop ruining this for me
  19. Saturday and Sunday are the weekEND that makes Monday and Tuesday the start. Leaving Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
  20. It depends in what way you're rating them. As a future GP rider, Thorsell stands a chance, Ben none at all. As a rider who will put 1.5 points on their average then it's Ben for me.
  21. Certainly ties in with the rumours that have been going around for a while now.
  22. Exactly. A rider who doesn't like rushing from GB on a Saturday to Poland on a Sunday is not going to be wanting to do Poland, GB and Sweden in 3 days! He's also not going to want to do Sweden and GB in two days so a Wednesday is unlikely too. Leaves Thursday and Fridays.
  23. I'll have a look later. Just another case of some messed up thinking by the BSPA and why weighting riders based on their riding position makes more sense.
  24. He could get back close to that with the current format tbh. One bad season doesn't make a bad rider.
