  1. You are judging though. You're saying he should be there. Take your own advice. If you can't do better, don't comment.
  2. Why don't you wind your neck in. I have not criticized him. Look back, I have defending him and his right to be in the GP but I have not used pathetic reasons like, "could you do better". I've never murdered anyone but I'll still condemn them. I've never designed a car but I know a BMW 1 series is better than a Kia Picanto. The argument of "could you do better" is a crap one.
  3. AFAIK nobody on this thread claims to be a professional speedway rider so why should they do better? I hate this argument.
  4. Is the Gorzow manager on the phone to Craig Cook yet? This looks like being a masacre after 4 heats! Whats Ernest Kozas background? I'll be honest his is not a name I've noticed before.
  5. Lets be honest, pretty much everything about this speedway meeting was spot on great racing on a great track and they rushed through it to try and avoid the rain. OK they lost 2 heats but I doubt anyone watching really blames them as they clearly made an effort - a long way from what we get in the average EL meting.
  6. I hope Peterborough don't win it with their illegal team!
  7. Who would record it for Eurosport? And do you really think the BBC will cancel Eastenders once a week to show speedway? Bwahaha. The BBC are not interested in sport. Our best hope is Sky Sports.
  8. I'd like to retract this statement. I have never ridden in a speedway meeting so I have no idea what a rider has to do. It would be unfair of me to comment on their performance. If riders are going to bitch on twitter about fans negative comments and want them to stop they should expect the praise and positive comments to stop too.
  9. Last season Coventry had to go to Eastbourne with a junior at 1 as Hans was in the SEC qualifier. The week after Swindon went to Eastbourne with a junior at 1 as Kildemand was in a SEC qualifier. Swindon and Coventry asked to switch dates. Eastbourne said no. Eastbourne as a club have lost 100s of thousands the last 10 years and they wonder why. On a Saturday in the summer Coventry and Swindon should have been taking hundreds of fans down there (Coventry often took a coach loads plus loads of us by car), how many people decided not to bother due to having to support a team with a junior at 1? So in arranging it, probably incompetence. But in not allowing it to switch at the request of the two opposition team? It's the ignorance and arrogance. Anyway, Eastbourne are now in the NL! Clearly they knew what they were doing LOL.
  10. People also got Polio, left their front doors unlocked, were happy to drive cars made by British Leyland and through a week in Barry Butlins was fun and Jimmy Saville was that nice guy on the tele who treated kids who wrote him a letter. Things more on.
  11. mikebv, I agree. But I also think you're jumping ahead. Lets get rid of the need to use squad riders/guests first. Why do we need then? Rider injured, riders riding PL and riders riding in international meetings. We can't do anything about injuries but we can do something about the other two. We arrange meetings when PL and international meetings are not taking place. Was there any reason BV couldn't ride at Leicester last week and Coventry this week? If that had happened both away teams cold have had full 1-7s right? So why was that not done? Only when all possible options have been explored should meeting run with riders missing, THEN and only then should managed/promoters be looking at alternatives. Be that guests, squad riders or extended R/R. But in the first instance, lets remove the need for the facilities in the first place. Genuinely, if someone from the BSPA want to talk about my software, I'm listening.
  12. I don't think the issue is so much guests. We can accept that when a rider gets injured there probably little choice. But why arrange meetings that clash so that a team has to use 2 guests when it CAN be avoided.
  13. Steady signung meant Cook as a second string. But when the #4 doesn't score big its wasted. I don't get why Stead was replaced by Worrall twice though - surely Stead wasn't that bad?
  14. eas the same last year. Every pair gets gate 4 3 times so nobody gains from it. HenryW, possibly. Makes some sense.
  15. What was Lemo doing there? Leave Holder in, go for the 5-1 and finish 4th with Poland 5th and Sweden 6th. Gives them more points in the series over all. Shocking tactics!
  16. I love this track. It break every rule about what makes a good track to look at it but I love it!
  17. Woffy and Nicki live here for a start. But how is bringing in a guest from abroad any different to bringing in regular rider form abroad? As long as Klindt knows to expect a few guest bookings he can have bikes over here waiting. Same with any other possible guests. Theres loads of riders out there. And if it fails, well nothing lost as people will just revert to using Rory Schlein all the time but I don't see why clubs should be prevented form at least trying to get some different riders over here. It's surely better to have riders not associated with any other club than every club using Rory!
  18. I've never understood why guests have to be riders from other teams. Surely a guest "pool" would be better. A list of riders from abroad who'd be willing to ride occasional as and when suits them and the clubs needing a guest. Surely Woffy, Nicki, Klindt etc as guests if better than Nicholls and Schlein guesting for teams every week?
  19. It's as much the managements fault as Hans'. Why no TR? 3 points thrown away why a guest when R/R could have scored 2 more? Another 2 points thrown away but also 2 points given to Poole. Could have eeked a win out with a competent manager. And why isn't Kylmakopi at 2 so that we get off to a good start with him form a good gate in the first race? Might have prevented up being 5-1d in the first race which always leaves you in a less than ideal position.
  20. If only we have a idiot team manager though! Should have used a TR in heat 6. And should have used R/R for Robbo meaning a ride for JK. Could been drawing now after 14. In stead we've lost! Pathetic. Now tell us a guest is the better option, come on. FFS Also, a week today Danny King gets a new average. Coventry can replace Robbo with a rider up to 6.36 EL. That means Milik, Mads, Swiderski or Barker. Woodward too if he's fit.
  21. "the outback"? Where do you think I live? I don't live in Poole you know, some provincial little town. I live in a city with motorway running though it. To get from my house to Coventry Speedway is 98% motorway or dual carriageway. Same can't be said of getting to Poole!
  22. If the GPs are such wondrous money making opportunities and they don't do anything the league clubs already do then why didn't the BSPA got of their backsides and run the British GP all them years ago when they had the chance? They could be making a fortune now. In fact, Sweden, Poland and Denmark have multiple GPs, why don't the BSPA get off their backsides now and run the English GP?
