That must have been about 25 years ago then! Maybe try it again now?

They're not being streamed this year as promoters didn't like it. What you used to see was the Bet365/AtTheRaces stream.

I didn't think there were any reserves this season and BSI/FIM/local promoters could pick whoever the hell they liked? -
Wolves Vs Belle Vue Tues 7th April
SCB replied to lino wolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And, TBF, I was chatting to BWitcher as the meeting was taking place and eh said before heat 8 that the change should be made. As he says, Blackbird is the better rider and 9 times out do 10 will out perform Bates. Had Wolves been winning then fine but they were 4 points down and needed a miracle at the time, Blackbird stood a chance of doing something in heat 8, Bates, you just never know. Then in heat 9 Blackbird wins it. It won't always work, but the trick is to make a change that will work more often than it won't. Stead scored paid 7. He did his job. Just where were you expecting him to score more points to? -
I was thinking more the other way around. Tesco used to be the goto supermarket for most, but people wages have dropped (or stayed the same) so they have had to make savings meaning they have started going to Aldi. That means Tesco are having to react. So if speedway riders stopped going to Tesco (the current engine tuners etc) and started going to Aldi (the less engine tuners) then eventually the current engine tuners would have to react.

What is it with BV teams? They can look good on paper but fall to bits on track. -
mdmc82s list looks good to me, apart from as jenga points out Wells' priority is Wolves.

Coventry Bees V Poole Pirates 10th April 2015
SCB replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It come across like that because you know that if they do as I have suggested it won't suit Poole. And we all know that anything that doesn't suit Poole is "absolutely pathetic". I simply suggested that the track should be set up to upset the opposition as it should also suit our own riders. As for my avatar, you think so do you? For once you've got something right. Well done -

Since when was preparing a track to suit the home team a bad thing? Does Poole still have all them holes, bumps and ruts?! After Poole meeting at BV in late 2013 they CANNOT complain about any wet tracks. Whats wrong with my avatar? Just shows Darcy having a nice refreshing can of everyone's favourite Aussie beer. -

He can gate a plod though. And if 2 of Pooles top 4 are not up for playing, he wno't have too much competition. -

We should flood the track. Mess with Rory and Holders heads. Not sure Magic would like it that way either. -
While I do agree with that, thats in part because those running the sport at league level are pretty inept. So to better them is not too hard. It gets annoying we we're told every Prague is going to be fixed, we're told Tampere is going to be fixed (as soon as most of us saw photos last year we said the track was wrong), we're told the Cardiff shale is stored in some technically advanced environment. And thats before we move onto the two GPs that have been cancelled and replaced by GPs in other cities (Gelsenkirchen and Riga).

Exactly A photo showing he has tried to hard to lean on Hans his back wheel has come around too far and thrown him off.

What rider costs though? If the riders were still earning (inflation adjusted) what they were in 1997 then they would all have to buy cheaper parts - that would mean the expensive suppliers would have to drop their prices or sell nothing and go bust. Seriously, pay the riders less they'll use cheaper suppliers. Ask Tesco and Aldi!

Bees should go with R/R and have Heeps at #8. Give Heeps heat 1 and take it from there - if he goes well and all sis good he can have 4 rides, if things are not going to well then JK, Jason and James may have to have a ride or two. -
What is the combined total of people who attend speedway in a month and the total of people who attend stock cars in a month? If speedway was once a month too I'm pretty sure crowds would rocket. One of the issues with British Speedway is there are in fact too many meetings IMO.
-
So what is the relevance to some local website sending some tweets? What are go speed going to do, get everyone who goes to a meeting to drop their mobile into a pile before they enter?
-
But they were charging £7 in 1997. With inflation thats £10.60. They're still charging nearly a fiver too much. The sport is seriously over pricing itself. Mind you, I say that but I question if dropping the price by 33% will increase the crowd by 50% as it needs, so they may be right to increase the price. But I do know seeing most winters the price going up another £1 gets bloody annoying - especially when at EL level we're told lots of clubs wanted to drop their prices last year but couldn't as it would have meant EL and PL fans paying the same!
-
They can't fine you. They can only invoice you. You can choose to ignore that invoice and see if they'd like to take you to court. They won't take you to court those as it's trespass and to prove trespass they have to prove a financial loss and that'll be impossible in a car park that is 90% empty by the time the speedway is over!
