  1. You cant bring on any talent young or old with R/R xxxxx as it means an extra ride for 4 of the riders who are already struggling, chin up Pete cradley have been left behind this season but looks like Eastbourne are not going to give up a chance of being in the top 4. and if Ben ups his average maybe another possible change in the team to come? and Pete come on look Danny Warwick hurt (replaced) for now, Mason out (replaced before his cast had even set), Mistake by the management turn out to be a diamond in Richard Andrews.
  2. Thought kelsey was better and for a minute he never looked as if he was going to fall off, my only bug of the meeting was that in the old days they used to take the riders to a medical room, where they were attended too, with Dave being on the floor his life was not in any danger and seemed to be ok apart from the pain, why could they not have taken him to a medical room and treated him there to continue with the meeting or have 2 ambulances at a meeting that has a curfew, I know that when they have a sky meeting they have to have 2 ambulances because TV time is at a cost, i have seen from wiseguy was to abandon the meeting but that would mean for Kent have to stump up another running cost of a meeting at a rough cost of about 4k, or not refund any money and save money by not running the last few heats of a cost of 18 point at std rates thats £180, so you can see where kent are coming from. when your loosing as much as kent does it looks like it needs a rocket up the rear or a big shake up. But at fans we can see it from the stands thats why i transfered away to Eastbourne during the last winter.
  3. Just found this on the web, What a great choice for the club to be in, have they ever had 3 riders on the same average? as from the 1/7/2015 Bradley Wilson-Dean 10.00 Marc Owen 7.65 David Mason 6.96 Richard Andrews 6.35 Matthew Bates 6.35 George Wood 6.35 Kelsey Dugard 4.96
  4. I dont think the wheels have come off at all, i think that the win against Birmingham was great, They are top of the table, they have won everything in front of them so far this year, Eastbourne are the only club to beat them apart from cradley at the start of the year but they share the same track, and we beat them fair and square, it would have been more if the BWD machine had been 100%. 2 falls for him which was another 4 points if he had stayed in his postion, Dugard falling off on a 5-1 which turned out to be a 3-2 so really it could have been 8 points but that all ifs and buts. I think it was a good win for Eastbourne, Looking forward to Rye house meeting so we move up the table if we are lucky to have a win.
  5. Warwick has hurt his neck not his foot , Would be nice to see him have a gentle slide again as he was very unlucky in that meeting.
  6. Your 100% right Steve, the time will come when Kelsey will step up his game and look steady and be one to be looked at and hope one day will be a heat leader,
  7. Kelsey has a lot to learn he does not understand that sometimes this is not a game, I bet you that Kelsey has been given his equipment but really does not understand how good it is, when Matt rode his bike the other day he had some great rides on it, I personally find it frustrating that Kelsey has fallen off 5 times that I can count on the same place same turn. He is better then that but he needs to learn another entry to the bottom turn rather then the same one when he crashes. Where I was watching I could see Papa Strudwick putting Kelsey's seat back together on one of his bikes, Connor was putting a wheel in it and Martin had the engine in bits during the meeting? Seems like someone is not spending enough time on equipment? Must be frustrating for everyone to see and time consuming when a meeting that they really should be watching and making sure that everything is right for the whole team.
  8. So many complaints about the time it take to run the meeting wont surprise me if Martin is there watching the meeting and keeping control of the tractor keys i thought that the meeting was a very drawn out meeting and at least half hour could be cut off that time, A few weeks time will be the test when coventry are down. The Eagles will fly again just the weight of the tractor is stopping them take off. My mate talked to Mr Dury who was going crazy in the pits about the track time and he also said he had talked to Martin about it who was 100% agreed to get him off the track. Maybe a 7pm start would run a faster meeting and all be done by 9.30 wont be much later then i get home now.
  9. I was told yesterday by Martin who seems to understand the tractor problems with his father and said he is looking into it, He also said they are looking into a different track surface now they have a break for a few weeks, he did point out the dust that was produced yeserday was really a matter of the wind and the sunshine together but the biggest problem was the ref, not only did she walk past me yesterday carrying a wodden stall to stand on and look over the bench to see the racing, What a long meeting it turned out to be? The ref Barbara Horley needs to go and move on as she was the ref that screwed the meeting up at Kent, i was told she is no longer be a ref at Rye House, She screwed another meeting up at Mildenhall when she was there #worserefever. Also now i have that moan out the way, Birmingham are top of the tree at the moment, you can see that they are a very top heavy side but regarding the riders that didnt score that well is just the norm for them, Good racing from Birmingham and from what i can see was the right result yesterday. Dugard fell while leading 3 points lost Andrews fell 2 points lost BWD fell twice 4 points lost so 9 points wasted, but on the other hand perry beat mason on the run to the line but the blind ref gave it to mason? Roll on the next round and a run on the road will see the Eagles pick up some wanted points
  10. Anyone know how practice went for the team today.
  11. Just seen on the Website that Eastbourne are going to have a practice on Saturday, at least they are going to try BWD and Mason Andrews, good to see that things like this are allowed to happen.
  12. birmingham have won the fours they have won away from home, won at home on wednesday, top of the table as well they dont get there for nothing? i think its going to be a very close one, I hope that i am proved wrong but you can never tell in this game, I see on the Easti website that the boys are going to have a practice on Saturday i think thats key to this league is to practice and put right whats wrong and with the way the team is at Eastbourne they will make sure they get it right.
  13. I think its going to be closer, I think it will be run close all the way, Dugard, Wood, will win this meeting, BWD will have a good one but we should not have to rely on him, Mason and Andrews will punch a few points in, the dark horse will be mattie who i think will get you 10 points. fingers crossed as Kent looks to be the next round and would seem to be easier then this one for either side looking at it on paper.
  14. looks as if someone is not feeling that great this morning. http://www.eastbourneeagles.co/news.php?extend.785
  15. Just a quick change of things, Is there an update on Danny as its just about 8 weeks since his accident.
  16. It was a dusty match but not as dusty as Stoke that was called off.
  17. I cant make it either as i have to work this Sunday, but means i get a Saturday off later on in the month to watch the KOC round which i think we have a real good chance of winning. I am not a pasties fan as i cant understand what they say
  18. I heard that a few of the guys were saying that its the best club they have ridden for and how much its about helping the riders and its not all about the money they could make, the young Dugards have got it right, they are in the mix of it all and now the rewards are paying off, you can see on the race day that everyone is relaxed and enjoy whats going on around them, one of the better places to watch speedway in the NL league, a bit dusty at the weekend but i did see a guy with a load of orange pipes leaning over the fence talking to martin so i guess thats a new bit of kit to water the track maybe they can sell it to Rye House.
  19. I was lucky enough to get into the pits at the end of the meeting, never seen so many people in there talking to the riders and just enjoying them selfs, Eastbourne have turned it around from being a stuck up side to now the peoples riders, Also what was interesting was to see that Martin Dugard was in the tractor at the end of the meeting packing away the Airfence with Connor Dugard and a few helpers, seems to me as if they really have to work hard to make the speedway run at Eastbourne as your never see any other promoters at the end of a meeting do it. Going back to being in the pits, I did get a chance to talk to Kelsey who is a really nice kid, i think he has the weight of the world on his shoulders and he did have a big smile on his face for a change and you can see that he is starting to listen to what people around him were telling him, he did say that he had changed the seat to a much thicker one which ment he was able to get over the front of the bike and not allow him to sit in the bike, he said when he sat in the bike and was to put his leg back he always turned the bike around and fell off also looking around is his big problem. But he was honest and said that his dad and others have been telling him all year about it and a bigger seat and where you sat on the bike would help but he said he felt happy sitting in the bike and being lower and it felt safer but in fact crashing every other race is not safe. Have to say a great team effort by all.
  20. Morley 9.06 vs Bradley Wilson Dean 10.00 Ayres 4.47 vs Mason 7.38 Shanes 8.22 vs Owen 6.11 Baseby 7.50 vs Andrews 6.86 29.25 30.35 its going to be a close one
  21. Can Zach ride as i think they go on the May averages and zach is at reserve and i think no reserves are not allowed but i could be wrong, I think that was a rule to stop a poor team entering, I could be wrong. If thats the case then Andrews, Wilson Dean, Wood, Owen. for Eastbourne.
  22. who is the team for the fours for Eastbourne, as i am not sure if it has to be a just the Top four of the side or any of the Four from the Seven. My choice would be: Marc Owen Richard Andrews Dave Mason Bradley Wilson or remove Mason and put in Wood as he is a racer and would try 100%
  23. Any news on the restage date for Birmingham as would be nice to get that one out the way and move on if we can to the next round, Its going to get tense cant afford another rain off, it rained all day where i live then cleared up and bingo again at 3.30pm the heavens opened for about 20 miniutes flooding the road. Also Sam will be in the Birmingham side so it might not be as strong lol. # goeastbourne
  24. Is that right that Birmingham have not ridden anywhere apart from Perry Bar this year and Eastbourne is the first away meeting on a different track.
  25. Alex you sound as if your trying to turn the crowd away lol but i have just checked the following forecast and seems to be ok for Sunday, they might not have to water in the morning but that better to have the track done before the staff arrive, Check the forecast on this: http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Hailsham/long.html
