  1. 'Sid' in post 149 quotes the original post from page 1, says that looks like a good idea I'll have a go. In post 150 he has a go. Think your buying
  2. i think the whole idea is to give your personal view of riders abilities otherwise there wouldn't be 11 pages of this stuff
  3. Have to agree. Also if bspa agree to Mitch being eligible to be a no7 Brit then monarchs have won a watch. Good luck son
  4. Can't understand some Glasgow fans. The team had to be broken up. Lawson had an excellent season hampered by bike issues near the end hence is artificially low green sheet average. Aaron had some bad crashes in el but finished season well. If the team is as listed above I'll be happy
  5. I know its not funny but being sponsored by a roofing company and suffering so many rain offs is a bit ironic. Hopefully a water company comes forward as a sponsor and they suffer a drought next year
  6. Glad we've got Aaron back. Fastest rider ever round Ashfield, a good captain and great with the fans. Had bike problems and money issues due to Leicester's sad situation. Hope we sign fellow assets Richard and Nike next
  7. As Solidmango says there is confusion over the no.7 spot. I can't see how a NL rider that's benefitted from riding all year in the PL because he was presumably better than other riders who only rode NL can then benefit from a lower average than those who have never ridden in the PL. So I can't help but think other posters are right when they say if a NL rider hasn't got a PL average then he comes in on a 2
  8. Friday nights used to attract big crowds to Shawfield, everyone that went there remembers the good old days. some people still think the speedway's at shawfield. So of course firstly alan biggart and now the facennas wanted a Friday night but they couldn't get it. As posted on the official page crowds have grown but not enough to sustain the costs of a good team and other costs. So what's changed and why wasn't Saturday used this year. I seem to remember reading in the evening newspaper that the promotion were trying to get approval from the council for more flexible hours at ashfield. I know there was a sunday curfew maybe Saturday was the same? And now they've got the council's go ahead?
  9. Good points ( I can't believe I'vre just said that) presumably these will be clarified in the new regs. If they put all the detail in the press release it would be 30 pages long
  10. The Glasgow owners are also business men
  11. It'll become even more complicated if as rumoured they reduce starting team average to just 40 😒
  12. I wouldn't touch baby Bjerre with a barge pole 🐻
  13. As others have said its a shame some people will miss out. Not much consolation but I imagine we'll have to race some matches on another day as Berwick and Workington have priority and Cardiff and maybe the other Gps as well? And no doubt the bspa will move shared events to a Saturday 😲
  14. Lots of rumours about points limit and using new riders from NL so not sure how that affects this years no 7s. So will have to wait before playing the here's my team game. Still would be amazed and disappointed if Lawson, Summers and Lunna aren't in team
  15. Why would anyone want to go to armadale unless there team was riding if you had Sissis Bewley would be in the team. Arthur's been over for a couple of years now and the only track he seems to ride well is Glasgow. We need someone like Bewley at 6 to also score away from home if the no7 has to be a new NL rider
  16. When was the last time a team rode at Edinburgh Berwick Glasgow on successive days. Teams can still do Berwick Newcastle
  17. Spot on Joseq7 and the thing about the Facennas is they see it as part of the entertainment business and like many others I think evening meetings produce better atmosphere and racing. And Blubby the announcement seemed to go down really well at the dance on Saturday night. The Facennas have grown the business doubling the crowd since taking over but they started at a very low base. It sounds as if this is an attempt to get more people through the doors, attract more sponsorship, corporate hospitality all of which can only be good for the tigers. If it fails at least they will have tried.
  18. A great night at the end of season dance. All tables named after past tigers captains and continuous showing of speedway highlights from 2016. Quality 🐯🐯🐯 Saturday nights if everything goes to plan, must be better than 3pm on a Sunday 👍
  19. I thought Michael did a good job in what was a exciting chaotic situation. One wee criticism there were so many people on the centre green it was difficult to see everything and take personal photos but I'd love to have that problem every year 😊🐯🐯😊
  20. Just love speedway fans. Here we have one complaining about the Glasgow Tigers using a guest as per the rules that have operated all season and on another thread Newcastle fans wanting to use a guest contrary to the rules. Guests good or bad or a necessary evil?
