MEETING POSTPONED…..AGAIN It is with deep regret and sadness that we have had to take the decision tonight to postpone the Farewell meeting again. Over the last 48 hrs we have had 5 riders unfortunately pull out of the meeting due to new commitments abroad and also injury. Today the final hit was Glasgow running vs Poole on Saturday afternoon which cost us another 2 riders from the line-up. It’s a disappointing situation, but one that unfortunately we have no control over and obviously clubs have to get their fixtures sorted and finished. Discussions will take place with Jamie and Jade at Redcar again to get a new date fixed into the calendar for early 2023 and those details will be provided once it has been confirmed and ratified with those in charge. All of the people connected to Redcar have been an amazing support throughout the planning stages and we can’t thank them enough. To every sponsor that remained with us from 2020 through until now a massive thank you, but the same offer applies as last time. An email will come out to you soon, we would of course love you to remain with us, but if you would like a refund, please drop an email to robbosfarewell@hotmail.com and we will arrange that for you. PLANS TAKING SHAPE Plans are back underway for the Robbos Farewell meeting which is back on the Fixture list for Friday 1st April with a 7.30 start at Redcar. Those who had already agreed to sponsor are currently being contacted and updated on the plans. There will be some sponsorship opportunities still available and details as to what is available will be published soon. Robbo is currently working his way through his list of riders for the event, and the names will be released in due course. Currently Friday 1st April only has one fixture planned in the UK……so if you are looking for a speedway fix then all roads lead to Redcar!

TEAM NEWS The Redcar Agilia Bears promotion have announced the purchase and 2022 signature of captain Charles Wright and youngster Jordan Jenkins at last night's End of Season Party Wright has been a key figure in the Bears team the past few seasons, which urged the promotion to approach his previous owners, Poole, to enquire about making him a full asset of the club. Jenkins joins Wright as a club asset after his purchase from Kent. Both riders were unveiled to a packed crowd as a positive start to the 2022 team building plans. Full reaction to follow...

UPDATE It has been confirmed James Sarjeant has a small fracture to both his tibia and pelvis, as well as a deep gash to the back of his left leg He is awaiting surgery today. We wish him a speedy recovery! Bears now head back to Armadale on Tuesday 12th October at 7:30pm
