  1. Serious question for Workington fans, do you think Tony Jackson is up to the job of Team Manager, the only Speedway experience as far as I know is standing on the terrace, I always think a ex rider makes the best team managers
  2. Well fingers crossed for Cradley, but I cannot think why they wouldn’t run, unless of course their is maybe an influx of new teams entering the NL and I can’t see that happening
  3. I would be very surprised if Glasgow didn’t use Jack Smith, apparently they give him fortune to become there asset, he had a reasonable first season, seems very keen to progress,
  4. So I rider contacts a NL Promoter for some after the meetings, The Promoter knows the rider having seen him at a Practice meeting at another Track, the rider is in his late twenties, his equipment is very poor, is style is dreadful and in the opinion of the Promoter will never make a Speedway rider, Would you give him valuable track time. You only have to look what Birmingam have done since joining the NL, Jack Smith, Zach, JPB, Hume, Bacon, young riders, good equipment, and will go far in the sport
  5. A master stroke be Godfrey would be to get JPB, now that would wind up Rathborne, as every Posh supporter I speak to say he’s a cert at Peterborough
  6. Apparently at the Peterborough forum tonight there Promoter stated there would be no TV money this season
  7. 100% Morris to Lakeside From the sound of it the Scott Nicholls uncertainty as really messed up Rye House plans
  8. Yes I know what you mean about they think “they are the Stars of the show” the worst for this was Chris Bart Simpson, at Brum he was dreadful, thank goodness he was sacked real pain,as is Porky at Wolves
  9. The only reason I dont go to Wolves more often is that bloody Porky he gets on my nerves
  10. SS you State “Each Licence as a distance protection” and mention 30 miles,so how come Peterborough changed there race day to a Sunday the same as Mildenhall, and that’s much less than 30 miles, but yet The BSPA allowed it.
  11. All riders in all leagues are open to offers,
  12. If Jed’s Licence is still suspended was he at the AGM and vote on matters which affect Peterborough Speedway, as I believe to attend the AGM you have to be a licensed Promoters, if he didn’t go who represented Peterborough
  13. In the Press Statement by The BSPA it stated no restrictions on team building other than the 42.5 points limit, does this mean you dont have to have a British youngster at No 7 ?

  15. Well I went to Workington twice this season and there wasn’t 300 fans at each meeting, I was very surprised when the BSPA Press Statement stated that all of this season teams would be back next season, the Promoter there is a really nice lady I spoke to her on one of my visits, but she must be losing a hell of a lot of money I really feel sorry for her.
  16. All the clubs are pulling together for the good of the Sport
  17. Something very strange going on here, I’ve just seen the SCB Statement, then the Article in today’s SS by Peter Oakes, they completed contradict each other,
  18. No it’s not in fact this is the worse thing that could happen in the possible return to Brandon, make no mistake brown envelopes have been exchanged, I hope the person responsible for selling Coventry down the line is happy now
