  1. I came past the stadium at 2.30pm and someone was working on the flood lights. Buster is having new LED ones fitted. Edit.. Just seen this on the Stars Facebook page..... We regret to inform supporters that we have had to take the decision to postpone Thursday’s Premiership match with Wolverhampton. This is due to ongoing electrical work at the Adrian Flux Arena, with the installation of new floodlights, which cannot be guaranteed to be ready in time for the meeting. The work was due to take place in the close season but had to be rescheduled due to global issues at the time, and unfortunately this week has progressed slower than anticipated. Promoter Keith Chapman said: “We sincerely apologise to everyone, the plan was to have this done several months ago, but it’s a situation that’s out of our control. “The work has been taking place at the stadium and it has hit several snags along the way which has put things behind schedule. “The volume of equipment inside the Arena also has an impact on my ability to prepare the track for the meeting. “We’ve kept the SCB informed all the way on this, and the last thing I want to do is have everyone come along on Thursday and then find out at teatime that we have no lights. That wouldn’t be fair on people. “Our apologies to Wolverhampton, and we look forward to welcoming them later in the season.” Thursday’s fixture will be re-arranged, and the Stars are back in action on May 16 when they visit Belle Vue with the return against the Aces at the Adrian Flux Arena on Thursday May 19.
  2. If Lynn did have their top 3 riders out, Josh, Richard and Niels on Thursday. You think they should ride because your reserves ain't going very well
  3. Only 2 days away and the Stars are struggling. Alex is saying Niels is struggling to breathe, and Josh is unwell, add to that Richard's bad knee and we could find ourselves on the wrong end of beating. I think we will see Richard on Thursday, as he is down to ride tonight in the Champ. But Niels and Josh who knows.. I'm hoping both are feeling better come Thursday night. Then will Josh be allowed to ride after pulling out last night. Lets hope so in the interest of the sport With all the other clubs riding on the night, lets hope we can field a full strength side, otherwise i think we will struggle with RR for either Niels or Josh, if one of them are missing. Thoughts..
  4. Apparently NKI was ill, as was Josh. Before the Wolves meeting Niels had averaged 7.55 from 2 home and 2 away cup meetings. That's ok, isn't it ?? Bjarne finished last season on 6.33
  5. Agree, Monmore is a hard place to go. TJ was superb. Lets hope the boys are ok for Thursday
  6. Stars fell apart tonight. Richard is way off, and Josh tonight?? NKI ??
  7. Pretty sure Josh hasn't. Lawson hasn't been as fast this year around Lynn. But did score 15 from 7 as a guest for Birmingham in the first meeting of this season at Monmore Wolves win and over 1.5 match goals in the Man U v Brentford game tonight double @ 2.00 WIN Good luck
  8. Agree. Although i admit to raving about Josh after only a few meetings. As i said earlier in the thread i'd be happy with a point as well. With Josh on his first visit i'm mot expecting to much from him, and whilst Richard hasn't looked as fast as last year, you don't need a rocket ship around Monmore. So hoping he can bag a few tonight. I'll stick with my 50-40 prediction. Do we have Puk for tonight. Edited... I see we do.
  9. I'd be happy with a point. 50-40 for me
  10. You could well do. Richard and Josh might get 20 between them next time
  11. Maybe he likes a well prepped track lol... Mind u Wolves will be a shock to him i think.
  12. Must of been the track. Has averaged 9,86 in the cup before tonight
  13. Need to make 2 changes to fit Klindt i think.
  14. Yep. Down to Louis/ Hawkins. You have JD 8.96 and rising to 8.60 after tonight. He will at least do his average. So thats 3 riders on the up. King 7.76, his is rising after tonight to 6.52, He could struggle to match his when the league starts. I know the ave don't count, but it gives you an idea
  15. As said before. Good win for the Stars. Josh and Richard below par tonight. Richard hasn't really got going yet. but i'm confident he will. The reserves won it for us. Great to see Jack scoring well. Heeps seems a problem for Ippo, on the plus side for them Riss and Batch are doing better than there starting average. I know it the cup and don't count to aves. But a 5.08 Riss has averaged 6.93 in the cup matches. And a 5.67 Batch ..... 6.62, 2 riders doing ok at the mo.
  16. Don't do away these days. Will be watching Man U V Chelsea, with a gin. I almost want Ippo to win to cheer there fans up on here... But not quite 46-44 to the home side.
  17. Had a few mins so had a gander, I know it's the cup ( points don't count towards ave's) and it's early in the season, Here's your top 4. Only 3 meetings and 2 for Riss. I know it's way to early and did it just as an idea for ya. Starting Av so far JD 8.96 8.00 King 7.76 5.71 TB 5.67 5.71 Riss 5.08 6.54
  18. I'll put your name on one then Tellboy . But seriously, it wouldn't hurt Buster to give 10 away at home meetings, or even sell them for cost. It would definitely up the atmosphere around the place. At 58 i'm to old have one , i think, but do like to hear them.
  19. I do like air horns at speedway, the make the atmosphere so much better i think. I would get a new refill before every meeting when i was a lad. Bloody long time ago now though. I think these are what you mentioned Trees. You get10 for 20 quid. Don't know how load they are. Might only be as loud as a frogs fart. Might be pretty loud. Who knows. 10x Loud Air Horn Hand Held Pump Action Sports Event Party Concerts Festival | eBay
