You could well be right there
-
In the interest of the sport, it's probably fine, as long as there ain't racing each other.
-
Buster has a promotors licence for Lynn.
-
I believe after around 30 races, the bikes of today are "serviced", which means an engine strip, tolerances measured and re build with new parts where needed. There's a great vid out there, showing what it entails. I'll try and find it. Here it is. Very interesting imho. And well worth a watch..

He said that he was passionate about PB and was a winner. Did he really think he would be able to run PB at a profit? Not for me. It was more like a play thing imho.
-
He was going nothing at Lynn, his words. Alex Brady was running the show. Alex pulling out created the situation at Lynn. Buster is trying to save the club.
-
And completely fook up your season, putting the fans through this crap, to save some " chump change". Now that's a real passionate Panthers fan for you !!.
-
PB was going to drop down, and Buster bought them to keep the Prem going. But as you say about Lynn, is a fact, and there wouldn't of been a Prem with a TV deal if it wasn't for him buying PB. So putting his money where his mouth is. And he wasn't doing to make a profit with the state speedway was/is in .Unlike some wanna be owner. I've said enough on that one. He's not perfect by a long way. PB fans can't wait to blame him for everything, PB and Lynn. I know he owns them, but there has been a lot of goings on that, i'm sure are not all Busters fault at PB.. As for Lynn. He's been chucked in the deep end by Alex, who was running Lynn, including team building, and paying the riders. He's trying to save the Stars again. Easy target i guess.
-
Tomalin said he wanted to buy PB pre season, and still wants it apparently. £40k is "chump change" to him , " just one of his cars" it has been said. As a big Panthers fan, who has built an "empire" his words, he could buy it now. After all he could probably buy it with the sponsor money that he apparently hasn't paid, after falling out with Buster.
-
Agree. He is far from perfect, but he is a genuine enthusiast as you say. Stepping in several times to keep the Prem going, when no one else was willing to do. He can't take the blame for what's happened at Lynn this season either. He didn't pick the team or pay their wages. That was down to Alex. He has just stepped in again to try and sort a mess out. And as for the Panthers lack of funds, the word is that promised sponsor money, never came after a fall out with Tomalin. Leaving them on a "shoestring budget" . Whether you blame Buster for that or Tomalin, depends on whether you think Buster agreed that Tomalin could sign Holder, and then went back on his word, in which case you could blame Buster. Or did Tomalin know that Holder would never ride for a Buster club again after Holdergate, but went behind KC's back, and did the deal anyway. If that was the case Buster did nothing wrong, and the problem was created by Tomalin. That seems to be where things broke down between the two. Most PB fans think it was the first version, but right or wrong i firmly believe it was the latter.

I have posted all i can say on here about the chats i have had with Alex. But i will say he has nothing to do with the goings on at Peterborough....
-
Panthers have no promoter. So can't race on Monday.
-
If Tomalin wanted P/B like he said he did in Feb . Why don't he buy it now for next to nothing..
-
Thank you

It didn't make sense to me either. And CJ mentioned running the club on a shoestring budget. The cynic in me says MT may well of not delivered all on the sponsor front, otherwise there would be money. The mind boggles.
-
Now would be the time, with no promoter on board. Maybe CJ did this to add pressure on Buster. Maybe helping MT with any deal he might be thinking of.. Who knows

King's Lynn Vs Sheffield 06.07.23
Bald Bloke replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I was taken aback how laid back he was. There was a sun break, so they spoke to him for about 5 mins. When they asked him about his win over Toby, he casually said it was my best win so far, but thats just one race.. When asked about the sun interval .....It will be good for Buster to sell some beer and burgers. He mentioned the teams struggles this season, the track. He said it was grippier in his 2nd ride than his first and he was surprised by that .That kind of thing.. Not having a dig at anyone, just come across as a very laid back kind of bloke. I can't remember it all. I would need to watch it back. -
That's not a reason to give it away though.. It can't be worth much to be honest. If MT really wanted it, then surely a deal could be done. It's not going to skint him.
-
I don’t know, the Glazers attend the odd game and come out unscathed. How I don’t know.
-
Is the air fence worth £10k ?. There must be other costs involved I would of thought.I’m pretty sure Buster would sell if the right money was offered.
-
Surely between them they get some money together and buy it. It has a value, even if it’s 10 to 20 grand for machinery and air fence. Why should he give it away?
-
To be fair Buster didn’t build the Lynn team, or pay them this season. He stepped in after Alex left, to stop us closing I presume.
-
I'm sure he would of done if he got somewhere near what he valued it at. MT should be able to buy it cheaper at the end of the season, if he wants it.
