apart from a few sports sky are trimming costs,sometimes quite drastically,new customers are hard to find simply because everybody who wants sky has already got it,theres also now significant competition from other providers and existing subsribers are getting p****d off with regular price hikes,so the bv match will be a single camera shot saving a load of dosh

pity there was no pa system for half the grandstand for most of the meeting,and the electronic scoreboard was not working, apparently the lady that types in the feed was not available tonite!!.why sky dont hold the semi finals on seperate nights is beyond me this format doesnt work,spectators just hanging around for ages in between races,not a great crowd

tracks been excellant lately,some great racing even though the final results havent suggested that,one sided scorelines but close racing

i was at the track sunday and the staff were saying there was no shale available for the track,unless there was a delivery mon or tues the only shale to work with would be what was already on the track,have no idea how this affects things,hope matts thriftyness doesnt backfire(steady up starman)

wouldnt think matt ford knows starman,i know a lot of the guys at the track have the same opinion of starman as most bsf members

lakeside just seem to lack ambition

i do believe 90% of speedway fans would accept that 7.00 is a very low assessment (if tai didnt already have an average but reqd an assessment pretty sure it would have been higher than 7.00) however ford asked for an average and thats the figure the mc gave him.

have not read all the thread but if lakeside had decided to push the boat out, who could they have brought in as a replacement for the play offs?

skidder i was in the restaurant that evening and one of the councillers jioned our table and he reckoned that of the total number of councillors invited around a third had attended.for many years the dogs have held an annual nite as part of the mayors charity,full up with councillors those nites.as i say i do believe the stadium is safe,obviously flats have to be built to pay for improvements(and help councils need to meet westminster building demands) always a fear that give developers an inch !!

i firmly beleive that poole stadium is secure for speedway and greyhounds,however the worry is that the decisions will be made not by matt ford(nothing to do with him) but by two groups of people DEVELOPERS and POLITICIANS.
