Understand all that,but for me it's still a shame circumstances (some non speedway related ) force poole into the lower league,

However you dress it up its still div2,and we don't race any of the top teams

We do seem to be dominating lower league speedway,shame we never race against any of the top teams in the country

Big step for the young man ,wish him well,british speedway needs all the young riders it can get,to avert real problems in a few years(hope the aussies can keep baling us out lol)

dont think theres any less commitment or effort but would be stupid not to keep best equipment for premiership and overseas,remember when chris holder won world championship he had one engine that year that was so quick he never used it in league meetings anywhere just the gps

mid week track probably helps

Was hoping a season at belle view would bring him on considerably,riding with and against the top riders regularly compared to when he's at Poole in lower division must be good for him,and poole will benefit from his belle Vue experience

Re ht 13,went to the glass grandstand tonight(to avoid the dust)had a perfect view of the second bend exit and lawson ran kerr to within an inch of the fence,kerr had to shut off,I assume he thought it was masters coming round the outside

would be real backward step for ben cook returning to poole

You've got to admit steve done a great job in getting forum members to post about some soccer competition in a far off land on the poole thread

Can't blame the promotion for trying to develop their asset base

marson is no concern at all,hes helping the pirates out for a few weeks,just the formality of having a seventh name on the team sheet,hope all his expenses are well covered and hes given a few quid in his pocket .

When 14 premier league football clubs are in american ownership that will be the end of promotion/relegation, gets better and better for non league football haha

your almost certainly correct there neila,but a decision that makes perfect sense ,giving cairns some competitive experience around wimborne rd before his championship debut,also fords know these level of events are poorly supported at poole but there will presumably be a good turnout to see this much hyped new poole signing,also im guessing he would have a good chance of winning the event , thus also keeping our many pot hunters happy !!!ha ha

I know some will but its difficult to disagree with your thinking steve hols,would think though its difficult nay near impossible for a lad still in full time education who can't drive to compete in the championship, but like you say it would have been good to give a British youngster a go or maybe a couple sharing the gig

Exactly clive ,as you say the ambition is to win the competition they're in,not the top competition ,that would be ambition.I fully understand all the reasons for staying where they are and if it was my decision I would do the same however going back I don't think matt would have been content with lower league speedway

Doesn't say much about poole supporters lisa if there's only two Premiership teams they'd turn up to watch

Gambling company's, stadium owners or developers don't have any responsibility or probably interest in providing a venue for speedway, it was up to speedway to protect its own future but sadly bar a few exceptions it didn't,most promotions just went for the cheap option, you reap what you sow!!
