yes steve i was somewhat puzzled by his post.put simply in a run off for the final qualifying place for example i would want lambert to beat kurtz, when they race in the league the opposite, want kurtz to win everytime. simples

more important than brady qualifying lets hope all or some of the other brits qualify today

first real opportunity to gauge if the poole fans are going to "pick" their meetings this yr.(prediction big home win) -
grw though its obviously totally acceptable for you to have differing views on the subject theres really no need for comments such as"go outside and play" this all has nothing to do with poole and who i support is irrelevant, the point i was making was that speedway promoters dont have a divine right to be successesfull or make a profit and the ones that arent so good at it wont(i wish hed made a huge success of it)many years ago i had greengrocery shops bmouth and ringwood, some of us made good money some great money and some went bust,i sold and bought small hotel in bournemouth, probably more risky than speedway promoting we had the business for 12yrs before selling for flats, during that time dozens and dozens of small hotels went bust or the owners lasted a couple of yrs then got out the business, similar to speedway, the point im making is that in any business if your not very good its going to be a real struggle.respectfully yours keith

so hes still the owner staying as managing director and his wife is going to take his job as promoter hardly needs a press release hes just having a rant.this is a guy who built a new track that was the wrong shape, races on the wrong night and or runs his team in the wrong league, them blames everyone else

matts looking on the plus side, will be the smallest points cheque hes had to write for a home match this season, great weather ,big crowd so win win, scrape home by a point and its win, win, win. -

the rules as they stand are as you say fred, but there will be an ammendant today, should be an edr replacement, maybe a compromise and a 6pt pl rider allowed -
bjarne for watt is really a straightforward decision which i would like to think any promoter worth their salt would have made(how many fantasy league teams is he still in?lol)not convinced tho that sacking somebody will "help" them solve any personal problems(certainly not their "sanity" where did that come from) "we need to talk darling oh by the way im now on the dole" not really going to help

skidder is correct the lease dictates that there has to be 2 of the 3 sports at the venue, and the leaseholder to decide which 2. -

skidder i dont believe poole council can impose anything on stadia uk thats not covered in the existing lease, however if stadia uk attempted to develop the site they would need the poole planners on board and as was covered in the echo 6mths or so back several members of the planning committee openly supported ptfc moving back to wimb rd.Stadia uk no interest in a football stadium(torquay!!)but football stadium plus 250 flats now theyre very interested -

firstly woz i agree with the various posters who have called for greater transparency on voting at the agm,but if issues are decided by majority and 8 votes available 5 promoters must agree(ignoring abstentions or chairs casting vote)so you cant blame only one promoter when 4 other promoters have voted the same, who knows possibly mr horton was one of those five. if next yr poole team is pretty average and mid table i wont come on here and blame promoters of other clubs.I do realise woz, speedway has some problems but in the elite league the big problem is that swindon, lakeside and coventry have serious stadium issues hardly matt fords fault, and with poole town now only 2 promotions away from the football league and no stadium who knows what stadia uk are thinking?? -
Matt Ford - No Sympathy
poole keith replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
i think all mr horton is trying to do by continually crying about poole and matt ford is to deflect attention away from his own woefully inadequate abilty to build a decent team
