MONARCHS V NEWCASTLE Join us this Friday, 3rd July, from 7:30pm for our Premier Trophy clash with Newcastle from April 2006. In 2006 we were still in the process of rebuilding after our first title win three years earlier. In the Premier Trophy we pulled off an away win at Newcastle but we expected a tight contest when the Diamonds came to Armadale for the return on 28th April. Grieves, Stancl and Franc were formidable visiting heat leaders but this match proved notable for a brilliant display by Theo Pijper and some exciting riding from William Lawson.

Michael Brekon. He considered that by staying down Aspgren was acting unfairly and put the lights on as the leading rider, Cook, crossed the finishing line.

MONARCHS V SOMERSET This Friday, 5th June 2020, from 7:30pm as we turn back the clock to October 2014 for the 2014 Premier League Grand Final 2nd Leg. The 2014 Monarchs had performed superbly right through the season and were easily the leading side in the Premier League, but under the Playoff system of course it can all go wrong at the death. For the second year running we were pitched against Somerset in the Playoff Final, with both teams suffering injury absences. Rider replacement applied on both sides with Rebels using a guest for Ollie Allen. A tense wait for the referee's decision on heat 15 ensued.

It would be good to hear what you do think is good about Edinburgh as all I ever seem to read from you is what you don't like!

MONARCHS V NEWPORT Join us this Tuesday, 19th May 2020, from 7:30pm as we turn back the clock to July 2004 for the Monarchs v Newport Premier League clash. We were defending our first ever league title win in 2004, and it proved to be a slightly disappointing season, more due to bad luck than poor performances. We still had the magnificent Schott-Carr-Schlein trio but had to release Magnus Karlsson after our title win. Magnus actually went on to win the Premier League title again, with Hull. Visitors on 16th July were Newport Wasps, with star man Craig Watson and recent signing Mads Korneliussen leading their challenge.

MONARCHS V GLASGOW Join us this Friday, 15th May 2020, from 7:30pm as we turn back the clock to April 2011 for the Monarchs v Glasgow Spring Trophy clash. Monarchs were defending League Champions as we entered the 2011 season, though it was to prove a season in which our rivals from the west enjoyed a great deal of success. Their team contained four former Monarchs plus the talented Nick Morris at reserve as they arrived for the first leg of the Spring Trophy. Ryan Fisher had moved on from Armadale after making a great contribution to three superb seasons, but we did have new signing Craig Cook in place, purchased from Workington. Would it prove to be a good investment?

MONARCHS V KING'S LYNN Join us this Tuesday, 12th May 2020, from 7:30pm as we turn back the clock to June 2007 for the Monarchs v King's Lynn Premier League clash. 2007 wasn’t one of our more successful seasons and we had a major team revamp in mid-season. Before that, we faced up to the most successful side of the time, King’s Lynn Stars, who were League and Knockout Cup winners in the previous season. They were still very much a team in contention the following season as they came to Armadale on 8th June led by star heat leaders Tomas Topinka and Daniel Nermark.

So you've looked in on the Scottish television briefings as well as the English ones on BBC, and made your judgement based on them.

Disagree with her politics BUT I know who I trust more. At least we've been treated like adults.
