Good post agree with everything you said ,looking at Cook even at his best it would be hard for him to get a regular place in Poland the level is so competetive. -

Knudsen was a class act, he was so unlucky in 1986 he could of been WC but to comeback and still ride to a high level after serious back injuries was amazing.Tommy always had quite a good record against Hans, and i remember him along with Crump,Lee as the only riders who could beat Carter on merit at the shay. -

If And When Bomber Retires..............

That would of happened even if it was not Ole,that is progress i am not a lover of the series but it has in a lot of ways really taken the sport forward. My gripe is who see,s the money? i agree with you Red that i believe you are the same as me you loved league racing the BL was the cream the series has totally DESTROYED that. Surprising for me,he is in the top 10 riders easily that i ever see ride and he would be high up hey i respect your opinion Red" though. A great post Hunter Mauger/Olsen for me really put bums on seats ok not always popular but in a quiet way total respect we all knew how lucky we were to see them ride Olsen his style awesome loved him on the gas at Hyde Rd. -
But there are endless other riders over the years he has helped i have huge respect for Neil.

Why would you not consider Olsen as a great? the days with Olsen and Central sport /Gary Newbon great days the Cradley matches were great.I also remember Red you said Olsen could not teamride really? Knudsen,Nicholaijsen, Guglielmi, Stancl, Busk,Miller all gained loads from Olsen in that regard. -
What is it to do with Middlo? he actually has been good for his career. Everyone i know in speedway none of them has a bad word to say about Neil this year was always going to be a tough year for Brady.I stick to my opinion that Brady is a top prospect he will prove it in time.

Good move for Brady great for Plymouth and for there supporters.A vicous circle for some riders Cook Brady (ect)both ambitious but you need meetings to keep sharp ie) also meetings to earn a living a great top 2 Kurtz/Holder. -
Belle Vue really showed last night they are a team to be feared.I saw them at the Abbey about a month ago but there lack of racing sharpness cost them that night.Nicholls was superb Fricke S Worrall impressive and well at times Zagar oozes class at his best a pleasure to watch.Young Jacobs was the one i felt for on the pace and a couple of times he got himself in the wrong position at the wrong time.If he keeps working at it a tidy little rider there, Poole to me look vulnerable to me another change has to happen for them to win the league.Of the draft riders you have to say looking at it Garrity has done better than people have been saying. For me S.Worrall is the only other draft rider who could cope in the top 5 because his gating is excellent.Auty,Ellis,Kerr,Newman,R.Worrall Wright i like them all and i want them all to stay in the EL are not quite there as top five riders.

Would of won a World title in my book,i have no doubt about that he would of been around racing until at least the age of 35 1976/88.My son played Football in Sweden for two years for a club in Eskilstuna and Tommy is still fondly remembered loved still pictures and books there remembering him could he of challenged PC in 1976 what a thought the sport was robbed of a nice human being and a great rider.

Be an interesting match i think Belle Vue can make a match of it,i am going to be impartial and judge how good the racing is.I have heard mixed reports about how regular the racing/ entertainment value is are there some supporters who are just glory hunters who want to just win so do not worry about the quality of racing.?

Pathetic these rules are killing speedway Hall might get a few scores and then get another chance at PL level. He proved what he is capable of by reaching a BF speedway needs to rip the rule book up and just go back to the basics. Is there any difference between Hall/Ellis apart from there age? Tony Atkin is he different to Hall.

Still getting over how poor that meeting was last night. The worst i can remember for years, for me the result is not relevant i go for the racing but apart from Doyle v Puk in heat 13 the rest was very poor.Could i put up with that everyweek i dont think so bend Two now looks like a accident waiting to happen.Bend three/four looked like there was a few holes there Huckenbeck in his first ride was quite comfortable in second then he hit something he then lifted violently was totally out of control through no fault of his own.Just hope the Poole meeting is a better advert for the sport last night was a night to forget. -
