  1. He might change his mind again Les and go and support Wolverhampton .Over the years Les when Swindon had poor teams did you ever think about changing teams ???? a big NO what about the Oxford Cheetahs!!!!
  2. The Premier league is not a cakewalk for a rider to clean up, it is just that Cook is so good at that level. You are right he should be in the higher league and hopefully soon he will get fixed up i look forward to watching Craig ride tomorrow.
  3. If the meeting is on it is a home win for me,by about 10/12 points it could be even more if Robert is not back to his best. Our reserves need to tuck in for a few points and it will be interesting to see if Palm Toft is as good on the new track as he is on the old one.
  4. Unless you are blind Swindon threw quite a few points away at the starts.
  5. I believe the reserves have rode better than the points suggest often on the pace and not far away. This Thursday will tell us quite a bit as i believe Andersen of King's Lynn is the weakest other reserve in the league and our boys need to be beating him.As you say who comes in ? and even If the rules allowed a Brennan type to ride we all know it will never happen i will continue to support Zach and James.
  6. Was Hume to high??? i do like Stoneman though a real racer.Great that Adam has signed he can be a prem no 1 now really is improving at Swindon and can still improve again.
  7. Overall City the racing has improved , alot of dirt on the start line have you been to Kent this year ? if so how has young Rowe done.?
  8. Not a great night the referee had a nightmare for me and hardly kept the show rolling his decision on the awarded race was nothing short of a disgrace.Peterborough deserved a point and did well to hang on in there and well done to Charles Wright he was immense tonight.Swindon looked vulnerable tonight and need to raise there game for Thursday night a win is a win though and we move on to the next match.
  9. A great story that Norbold i bet you would not sell it for 1000 pounds,i have a prized Peter Craven autograph that my uncle got signed in pencil.Speedway autographs and pictures have always been a passion of mine and it has got me hooked on memorabilia and the history of our great sport.
  10. Hi Norbold i will get the Tom Farndon book how do you get it Amazon maybe??.The first Tom Farndon article i really took note of was in a John Chaplin book can't remember the name Ole was on the front of it.A terrific book and ever since then have took a huge interest in his career i sometimes feel Tom gets forgotten as he never got a chance to prove his greatness.I did see Norbold there is a brilliant autograph book on EBay with Tom's signature in it 30 pounds onwards and i believe it will go for quite a bit i would certainly love it.
  11. Hope Hume gets a chance and stays injury free as he is an ecxiting rider to watch.
  12. On the team front i hope the season turns around for the Birmingham fans but i must say the side looks woefully weak and unbalanced. Also at the start of the season i was amazed that both Bacon/ Hume were not included maybe Tom wanted to ride at Peterborough maybe Danyon's injury record were the reasons.??
  13. I have Barry's autograph Robbie when he rode for King's Lynn, Anders Michanek was the hardest autograph to get in my memory i remember asking him when he was walking the track and he said after the meeting Anders did oblige later.
  14. I think he has total faith/ respect in Martin Dugard and he looks like a rider who listen's and he learns. He reminds me of Martin ( a huge fan of him) as a rider and i can remember when Martin learned so much off of Hans Nielsen at Oxford he then went on and had a great career Brennan a prem rider within three years.??
  15. Really like Brennan he is level headed and he certainly will be a prem rider in the future.See him at Swindon twice and in a few junior meetings and he looks a longterm prospect.Maybe along the line like the Kennett's Dugard, (ect) a move to a bigger track will further his career would love to think that Brennan/ Rowe might both ride for Swindon in the future.
  16. I would like to think Anders will be in the Swindon side in about 2/3 three years time.I have followed his progress since first seeing him on the mini Swindon track and i believe technically he is a very good rider.I want all the young Brits to push on and we are getting some numbers through now which is great.
  17. John a great man and sadly missed a terrific historian of the sport.Reading a book that John wrote got me hooked on the great Tom Farndon and i believe the history of our sport should be cherished.
  18. Chuffed for Rowe arnieg being a Swindon asset i want him to progress how did he do.? Be great if Gary May sticks with Atkins/ Rowe all season it will be worth it longterm.Workington showed that with young Bickley a bit of faith in someone works glad Kyle has started this year well onwards and upwards for him.
  19. Totally agree Les the team has started well and i believe we can get better as the season goes along. The positive thing for me is we have lost two close away matches and came away with a point that augurs well for the future.
  20. Do you see either of them averaging 7.2 come the end of the season.??? but you are right they are both talented anough.
  21. I put Lampart in the position like a Wells at Belle Vue a real tough ask in the top five and with our reserves Dawid will be there all season. So 4/5 points most weeks will do me actually at home he has done ok fingers crossed i suppose.
  22. Lampart i believe can do his bit 4/5 points most meeting's we need Zach to kick on i believe in him and longterm he will be a great asset to have.
