Wonder how much of a reduction in his last average?
-
With the old 13 heat format managers hands were tied even tighter with your top three having to ride at 1,3,and 5. At least the current format only ties down your top rider.
-
Could we see the return of wethers or pjiper?
-
Every Tiger I've ever seen has had a long tail.

Looks more like a statement your looking for someone to confirm. Would it not be better to discuss if he will start next season after his early finish last season due to ''injury'', the future is what's relevant.
-
People do change, possibly not always for the good, but don't think it's wise to bring up these sort of things without proof or relevance. That's how rumors start........
-
With the 3 signed and 3 hot tips, it doesn't seem to leave many points for the seventh rider, would this not put Bewley into the main body of the team?
-
Wouldn't take up the sport otherwise. Is it really relevant? The guy can ride a speedway bike, obviously been in with the wrong crowd, if he can be taken away from that environment and given good guidance he could go a long way in the sport, unfortunately young people who don't channel their talents and earnings in the right direction often end up in trouble, unfortunately some can't be guided.

Any speculation on the rest of the team? It looks like Masters and probably the Riss brothers, with possibly Davey at reserve, so who else is in the frame? Can Cookie be fitted in(given uncertainties at bv)? Will the promotion go for a new untried rider(normally they come up with good ones)? Will they give Jye another go on a 4 pt average in this weaker league? Will Max Clegg come back, when he was in the mood, was a strong home reserve.

Surprised to see Berge didn't return, big boots to fill at home on his average. Parkinson Blackburn should make up for the loss of Berge (obviously in a different part of the team) could be a good away reserve at the smaller tracks if his performance at Eastbourne is anything to go on.

Knew Garrity was a bit loose but didn't know it was that bad! -
It won't be a 2 What is his 2013 figure? (Will he get a reduction for being British?) Ironically it appears he hasn't actually ridden a full season since he was the only ever present rider in the Glasgow team of 2009, seems to have had quite a lot of fairly serious injuries since. Think with all the doubling up going on due to rider shortages, fans would be glad to see any rider sticking at a sport we all love.
-
Of course they did, Newcastle, take it they don't count cause it's not elite.
-
Sorry to burst your bubble there, but can I assume you didn't go to Glasgow for the second leg of the K.O. cup final, where in the presentation speeches Sissis left no one in any doubt about his 'liking' for the brough track!!

Still clear as mud, watch out your not joining Louis in the red face contest!

That was then this is now, the quicker British speedway fans realise that Britain can no longer afford to pay riders at the highest level the longer speedway is likely to exist on these shores. We need to become the step by step training ground for British and Commonwealth riders again, and then when they're at the right level move onto countries with stronger leauges to finish the training. Doubling up between the two top leagues makes it more difficult for a rider to come from a lower league.
-
Really hope you are correct, with these newcomers, but sure I saw a clarification somewhere from bspa to the contrary. Didn't Hume achieve an average above 2 this year?
-
If only...... that would be an excellent way to really give young British youngsters a real opportunity to be included in teams, but unfortunately the interpretation of the rules would suggest that these guys are newcomers and would come in on a 3, only riders who have already got a pl average but has never exceeded 3 would be allowed to use their actual average, or 2 as a minimum. Having EL riders using a converted average makes no sense to me, but looks very like one big league was the plan initially but they took cold feet and done a half arsed job again. To really help young riders progress, I personally believe doubling up should only be permitted between NL and PL, once guys hit the top league in the UK opportunities should be opening up in other countries.

Think the move to any evening is excellent, and personally always hated Sunday afternoon racing as not only was it a poor product due to difficult track preparation and long drawn out meetings, but it really ate into your whole day as it was neither day or night, it just seemed to cost you a whole day to watch 15 minutes of speedway. Pity they have still opted for a Sunday afternoon as an alternative, but can see the reason why.

We'll done Rebels, rightfully crowned Champions. Why miss the last meeting of the season and grand finale just because of the use of guests? Until riders are immune to being injured there is no other way to put evenly balanced teams on track. The issue that would discourage me from attending would be teams forced to use N.L. guests to cover for riders in the main body because no facility is deemed to be available. -
Well done to Glasgow Tigers on their win in the Knockout Cup Final The loss of a reserve proving not to be as costly as losing a rider in the main body in his first ride, although this is immaterial now as Glasgow were so dominant at home anyway, after the previous evenings draw Newcastle were always going to be on the back foot. Some great racing though and credit to Robert Lambert for the way he attacked the track.
