I made a decision that I would not be bullied/intimidated/encouraged to not go to watch speedway at Armadale. But guess what?? Do two wrong make it right? Wonder how many other genuine SPEEDWAY fans are now thinking similarly. Until Edinburgh reopened at Powderhall in the late seventies, they had always raced on a saturday, so why did they choose a Friday night at that time? They still hold meetings on a Saturday as an alternative. It seems the majority of fans of other teams around the country can see how much potential is being wasted with two top teams bickering, pity the promoters of both teams can't.

Tickets released for sale today for season opener against Coventry, pricing seems to be as announced earlier for league matches. Is there not usually a discount for advance purchase? If so can we expect an increased gate price on the day?

Maybe the wage demands are being made in order to help offset their travel costs, and this is why the monarchs are proposing to employ some one local and experienced.

With regard to this petty squabble about race night preferance initiated by the Glasgow promotion, as has already been mentioned on this forum, the stay at home fans will be the losers. Given the quality of the teams both promotions have assembled, there should be some good entertainment (possibly even racing) at both venues. After all if the Glasgow faithful decide to travel to the Dale to watch their team, are they going to be named and shamed and barred from home meetings? I'd like to see them try that one

Never read so much amateur speculation in my life!!!! Are the Edinburgh promotion so unprofessional that they would put an article in a newspaper, seven weeks before the season is due to start, without actually checking if this proposed signing would get approval?
