Knowing the Thompson family as i do I don’t think Dan will drop the Cubs once he has a Championship place. The boys just love to race their bikes & the Cubs is another opportunity to do that . I feel the key to this is Dan & Joe can now both drive so there is less pressure on their parents to drive them to matches which allows them to run their family business more effectively . I think the boys will do NDL away matches & Dan will mechanic Joe’s matches for Scunthorpe on their own which keeps costs down & means Darren can earn money from working aswell .

Stewart has put a very good looking Cubs team together. It should be Very competitive & challenging for honours again in 2023. 1. Dan Thompson 2. Ashton Boughen 3. Max Perry 4. Tom Spencer 5. Joe Thompson 6. Vinnie Foord 7. Max James

Do you believe us now . Boughen will be 100% at Leicester next season

Dan’s average in the Championship is so over inflated by his form at Leicester that he is a huge risk for any Championship team to take on . Let’s be honest would any other club other then Leicester have taken Dan as a rising star in the Premiership ?
-
I am told Dan is in the team because he has not got a championship side .

Had it confirmed today the Cubs 1-7 is in place . Ashton Boughen has been offered a contract & will be in the Cubs team in 2023 . 5 riders are returning & 2 new riders coming into the team. If true I am looking forward to an exciting season with bright young talents

Well that was an anti climax. 2 very poor signings which leave Leicester very weak at the bottom end -
False rumours. Leicester will take their equal share of the 2023 TV money & then an extra smaller pot will be issued to the teams that make the play off semi final then another payment to the Grand Final teams but I am told these payments are only minimal fee’s of around 2.5k for semi’s & 5k for the final

Any young Australian prospect are snapped up by Mark Lemon at Belle Vue & then loaned to a Championship club. Expect Rew to be riding at somewhere like Poole next season alongside Chris Holder . I was hoping Scotty would be back in 2023 but it’s not to be . It makes an interesting few weeks coming up. Marmite Craig Cook would be good at BP, Although he is rumoured to be Wolves bound. Does anyone know how the GB reduction rule works what % is it & who gets the reduction ? -

Riding in all 3 leagues was stopped for 2021 season but soon reintroduced for the 2022 season when they realised they are only slowing young riders progress down. But I think there is a rule in there around you can only ride for 3 teams under the age of around 22 , to stop riders like Hume or Coles doing it who are mid 20’s & reached their level. -
Rumours around Leicester is that Richie Worrall is coming to Leicester & Kings Lynn are getting Benjamin Basso to replace him ?

Poole fans I would make other plans for tomorrow. There is little to no chance of this meeting taking place . It is raining 1/2 a mile from the track & due to rain again tomorrow. I hear rumours the track is in a very bad way due to the amount of rain & there is nobody to correct the issues with the track because Stewart is in Glasgow on the sick.
-
Having watched Poole at Leicester twice this season I have to say I think the title will remain in Dorset. 8 points will be too much of a big gap to pull back for The Lions & much like tonight the track will be a big leveller & make it gate & go. One thing is for sure Poole have some brilliant gaters.

Stewart Dickson will miss both legs of the final after being admitted to hospital with chest pains last night. All us Leicester fans wish you a speedy recovery & thank you for all your efforts in 2022 Plymouth manager Gary May steps in tonight. http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.32114.1

This time of year riders won’t want to take any unnecessary risks in meaningless meetings crash on Tuesday & he is out the play off final & go back to Australia in a cast which could ruin his winter. Wolves can’t win the pairs so there is no point.
