  1. So the rumours were true. Tai Woffinden WILL NOT ride at Leicester. Connor Mountain guests LEICESTER: Max Fricke, Justin Sedgmen, Richard Lawson, Chris Harris, Troy Batchelor, Jake Allen, Drew Kemp.SHEFFIELD: Tobiasz Musielak, Kyle Howarth, Adam Ellis, Josh Pickering, CONNOR MOUNTAIN , Lewis Kerr, Dan Gilkes.
  2. Nothing on either teams website about this fixture which is surprising but also worrying that the rumours regarding the team line ups on both sides are true.
  3. Unfortunately John told me it’s a one off for the TV match. The clock belongs to the club but Eurosport put all the cabling in for it , which was taken away after the meeting.
  4. Depends which forecast you use. Met office say 50% chance of rain at 1pm & clear after that
  5. Thank you. There is no mention at all of Andersen being injured on either teams website both say he is simply unavailable .
  6. Does anyone know why Hans Andersen is missing the meeting tonight all I can see is he is unavailable ? More the point how are the allowed a facility for him ?
  7. On paper this could be a close one but in reality I think it will be an easy 3 points for the Lions already leading 47-43 from the away fixture. It will be good to see Artem Laguta at BP , Nicolai Klindt can never be ruled out round Leicester & Troy Batchelor make his debut. Leicester 1. Max Fricke 2. Justin Sedgmen 3. Troy Batchelor 4. Chris Harris 5. Richard Lawson 6. Jake Allen 7. Drew Kemp Kings Lynn 1. Artem Laguta 2. Kye Thomson 3. Kyle Howarth (G) 4. Thomas Jorgensen 5. Nicolai Klindt 6. Simon Lambert 7. Anders Rowe
  8. It makes no difference who the referee was. The random drugs tests are carried out by different people & sometimes even the referee is unaware that the drugs testers are attending the meeting they are due to referee.
  9. He missed Leicester vs Peterborough last Thursday but returned to racing at the weekend in Poland for Daugavpils scoring 8 points from 5 rides without a fall .
  10. What a crazy decision to move the Sheffield match to Thursday 3rd August. That now means 3 matches in 6 days. Monday 31st vs Ipswich (Premiership) Thursday 3rd Vs Sheffield (Premiership) Saturday 5th Vs Workington (NDL KOC) £56 in 6 days for speedway
  11. The clock debate is an interesting one. But are pointless in my opinion. All riders know when the 2 minutes go on there is 2 yellow beacons 1 outside where the riders line up & 1 inside the pits as-well as a big hooter that goes off in the pits. They are also told by the clerk of the course . All a clock will achieve is so fans can see how long is left of the 2 minutes but because UK rules stipulate you only have to be on track facing in the correct direction & making your way to the tapes it would not matter if it hit zero because riders are not infringing the rules. 7/10 races start within the 2 minutes time allowance so by having a clock would delay the meeting further because riders would take that little time extra digging around if they can see theres still 30 seconds left. You see it all the time in GP’s & Polish speedway riders sitting back & coming to tapes with 10 seconds to go. Rules state that if a rider enters the track the final 30 seconds they are expected to come straight to tapes to race. Most referee’s will be lenient & allow them a small 10 second dig but NKI was excluded because he entered the track after 1 min 45secs then proceeded to “garden” for another 45 seconds . Ignoring 3 requested from the start marshal to come up-to tapes & a request via the flashing of the green lights from the referee. So he was rightfully excluded. Ignoring a track official & Delaying the start also used to be a fineable offence but that rule may have changed.
  12. How convenient Richie. Goes on a pre booked holiday for 7 days Thursday to Thursday & then he guests at Edinburgh the day after he gets back & scores big . He rode at Oxford & then went on holiday. Anyone who genuinely thinks he was injured has has the wool pulled over their eyes. He wanted a holiday during the season so claimed to be injured. He has even been mocking fans by pretending to post he is in Bolton on social media. But it shows he doesn’t care about Peterborough . If notice he booked his holiday when Plymouth didn’t have any fixtures scheduled but missed 2 local derbies for Peterborough. But at least he has got a nice tan
  13. He was on that same holiday & how convenient . Goes on a pre booked holiday for 7 days Thursday to Thursday & then he guests at Edinburgh the day after he gets back & scores big . 14. How do Peterborough fans feel about Richie Worrall missing matches due to “injury” when he then starts posting pictures on social media of him living it up on holiday ?
  15. Just over an hour to scheduled start time & not even a hint of rain. It is overcast but can see the clear skies behind. Another Leicester Speedway mess up
  16. Kurtz polish match is a rearranged meeting that was rained off a few weeks ago. I was told as part of the deal with the PZM to allow riders to do more leagues it was agreed that Polish clubs could rearranged postponed fixtures in midweek & have first refusal on riders over UK,Sweden & Denmark if they are due to be racing for their club in those country’s on the rearranged date.
  17. Leicester 1. Max Fricke 2. Justin Sedgmen 3. Richard Lawson 4. Chris Harris 5. Nick Morris 6. Jake Allen 7. Dan Thompson Belle Vue 1. Dan Bewley 2. Norick Blodorn 3. Tom Brennan 4. Charles Wright 5. Ryan Douglas (G) 6. Jaimon Lidsey 7. Jake Mulford Leicester looking to bounce back from defeat at home on Monday. Belle Vue on a high after back to back away wins at Ipswich & Peterborough. Brady Kurtz misses the meeting for Belle Vue because he is racing for his Polish club.
  18. Sounds like it was an action packed meeting tonight. How did young Joe Thompson ride for Ipswich. I will be honest it’s 2 points more then I thought he would score.
  19. Based on watching Joe at Leicester over the past 3 years. This is only my humble opinion. He has always been a very shy & quiet spoken lad . Joe was the better of the twins in their first season in the NDL (2019) he had a-lot of determination & was very brave when making passes. Covid hit & there was a long lay off when speedway resumed Dan was head & heels above Joe . In 2022 from June he seemed to lack motivation & looked disinterested when riding anywhere away from Leicester . His form picked up slightly towards the play offs of 2022 where he looked faster & picked up 4-6 point scores, I feel he will really struggle in the Premiership but Ipswich can afford to carry him. He will score well on 30th March because he will beat Sedgmen & Allen round Leicester but heat 2 certainly will be interesting because it will be the first time Dan & Joe have raced in a league meeting against each other & also their dad mechanics for both of them.
  20. Good signs from Justin Sedgmen , Finished 4th in the Oceania Final . The line up was very strong. The meeting was won by Adam Ellis with Doyle & Woffinden 2nd & 3rd respectively
  21. Knowing the Thompson family as i do I don’t think Dan will drop the Cubs once he has a Championship place. The boys just love to race their bikes & the Cubs is another opportunity to do that . I feel the key to this is Dan & Joe can now both drive so there is less pressure on their parents to drive them to matches which allows them to run their family business more effectively . I think the boys will do NDL away matches & Dan will mechanic Joe’s matches for Scunthorpe on their own which keeps costs down & means Darren can earn money from working aswell .
  22. Stewart has put a very good looking Cubs team together. It should be Very competitive & challenging for honours again in 2023. 1. Dan Thompson 2. Ashton Boughen 3. Max Perry 4. Tom Spencer 5. Joe Thompson 6. Vinnie Foord 7. Max James
  23. Do you believe us now . Boughen will be 100% at Leicester next season
