  1. Rain forecast for 5pm and 6pm - hope nobody makes the mistake of watering the track - making such a long journey for nothing would be such a shame
  2. Why can't we all be friends :-) Relax and enjoy the post season (well some of us anyway!! - oops there I go)
  3. Haha - price rise was inevitable but its not too bad - personally I would say go for £2 more and take us back to the Prem!!
  4. It also has trophy cabinets :-) - no use for them in Glasgow , maybe you will re-instate the Scottish Cup if Edinburgh will give it back :-)
  5. The Pirate Ghost Ship will haunt you forever HaHarrr!
  6. People responding ....just keeps it going
  7. Thinking about a farewell meeting for Bjarne Poole (Europe) vs Poole (Rest of the World) (not riding order and literally the first 16 that came to mind - plenty of others I'm sure) Europe - M Janowski, P Pawlicki, N Klindt, L Madsen, B Pederson, C Harris, H Andersen, V Milic ROW - J Doyle, C Holder, G Hancock, J Holder, B Kurtz, T Bachelor, J Grajczonek, R Tungate Will never happen - but it puts the move to the Championship in perspective
  8. Well I responded - must have been the only one who said don't do it lol
  9. Paul is choking and all you can talk about is speedway?? still the Pirates winning again will give you all (lovers and haters) something to live for as you plan your 2020 Forum careers lol

  11. "Think the question Poole fans should be asking is the team good enough this season, indivually ? If the answer is yes then where has it gone wrong in only finishing 4th. Could it be that all is not well in the Poole camp. Certainly a season of underachieving thus far. " I think Swindon, Wolves and Leicester would like to underachieve on the same scale!
  12. Anyone got an update on how the track is after yesterdays rain?
  13. Bomber = Commitment and commitment usually gets results Did you notice he had gone out and bought himself a Pirates race suit ? He is excited to be with Poole and its great that the fans are right behind him. His added experience will help the rest of the team and hopefully that started to show through this week.
  14. I don't believe Matt Ford would walk away due to criticism - he is tougher than that. Reading his article his fears for the sport are more poignant - he has a perceived value on the Pirates and if things look to be going the way he predicts then obviously he would want to cash out before that value completely disappears - equally he can't say that if he wants a buyer! The BSPA need to wake up - continually de-grading the product only has one ending - somehow the interest needs to be re-kindled and that means radical change of some sort (I know I don't have the answer either - but I'm not paid to find it!)
  15. Due to the adverse weather forecast the decision has been taken to POSTPONE tonight's 70th Anniversary Meeting. This is direct from the club website - Postpone not Cancel - so maybe it will get another date
  16. Chris was suspended until April 13th - isn't that the reason - or did it get lifted?
  17. Yes the 500 but more than once....once......once......:-)
  18. that depends on the arrangement - if the "asset" situation means he has signed a contract and Poole simply loaned him out off that contract they can then recall him - happens all the time in post Bosman soccer
  19. The people who boo-ed Kyle Newman are not real Pirates fans. The guy is 100% genuine and anyone who thought he either would or should give less than his best against us simply do not know him. Great work by the team - 2 points is not insurmountable - watch this space
  20. Sorry White print Members 39 posts 0 warning points Posted Today, 05:54 PM Yes according to the club Website BELLE VUE v POOLE30th July 2017 The final chapter of the Volvo Cars Poole Pirates effectively begins this week as they face home and away contests with league leaders Belle Vue Aces, beginning on Monday with a trip to the National Stadium.
