I asked Rob about this on Friday, he mentioned to me that as the meeting was meant to be a Sheffield staged meeting, it has to be at Sheffield.

Crowd tonight was decent imo - and a cracking meeting between the two teams, when isn't Scunny v Redcar a good meeting? I have heard in the bar this evening a Scorpion has hung the boots up and tonight was his final speedway meeting, but i'll leave that for him to announce when hes ready to do so. Credit to the Bears! Good luck to them in the playoffs and all the semi finals and finals their in. It does seem weird wishing people a Merry Christmas in August....

We have started this page to support Scunthorpe Scorpion Jake Allen, who during one of his last league fixtures of the season, experienced a series of unfortunate events leaving him with only one salvageable bike going into his remaining fixtures. During his first ride an engine was blown therefore leading him to race on his second bike. In his second a crash caused him to lose the vast majority of his second bike including front wheel, diamond, handle bar and both guards. There was also damage to his forks and helmet. The costs are yet to be determined but are estimated to be £1,500. Jake wanted to publicly thank those who approached him Friday to offer their support, have sent messages since and Colin Poole for his support in piecing together his bent and broken frames since Friday’s fixture. Fundraiser by Dan Palmer : Help get Jake Allen back on track!

ScunnyDan replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
First ever visit to Berwick tonight and will 100% be back in the future! Enjoyed the meeting for what it was, with some good racing! The only complaint I’d have is all the dust from heat 1 where we was -

25.07.2025 - Scunny v Edinburgh Double Header
ScunnyDan replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Beaten by the better team again, fair play to the Monarchs, they wanted it more! Monarchs fans, you're a credit to your club! It was a nice change to be able to hear visiting support from the centre green! As for Scunny, my general feeling is their going through the motions to get the season done now... Massive changes needed at the EWR next season, will we see them? I wouldn't hold my breath... -

Please note 7pm start time for this, being a double header Will Scorpions bounce back from the tough weekend last week, or will the Monarchs continue their fine vein of form... Only 5 quid extra for an extra 15 heats, Steelers meetings this season have been very entertaining and well worth staying back for if you can

Scunthorpe vs Poole 18.07.2025
ScunnyDan replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tbh, I did announce on the evening, the manager chose the riders he did for heat 15 as the meeting was over as a tie, and those two riders got taken out of earlier heats. Scunnys speakers are shocking though, so if it wasn't heard, I do apologise. -
