  1. Is this the same stadium I drove past the other day, opposite Lynch Wood, wasn't sure if it was Showground?
  2. Was the same last year, crowds at an all time low until mid season and the incredible 17 win run. Man City have only just equalled it. August saw some bumper crowds at the Shabbey.
  3. Until the mighty Moonrakers hit town. Great signing Jase.
  4. The addition of that tache will turn Boy Bratchelor into a man. Welcome Mitchell another Rooboy
  5. Welcome back Boy Bratchelor. Replaced Jase in 3 matches last season during the record smashing 17 win run, and banged in 30 points, beating Wolves, thrashing Belle Vue away, and lucky win at Leicester. Good signing and excellent line up next year to hopefully retain title. Great team spirit at The Shabbey.
  6. No announcement tonight, will be Monday. Fun night at the Southbrook for the race night, about 60 there. Donations for Ben Fund and supporters club.
  7. Spoke to him 3 weeks ago was still saying June opening
  8. A right bunch of beavers, if you look closely you will see its Rosco on fence. The club are appealing for volunteers to come to the site this weekend to carry on work. Bring your own pick and shovel, hardhats and tea provided at small charge. The club and local rag should be keeping fans updated.
  9. Not sure if Mike Keen still lives in Upper Minety, probably, saw him at home in the mid 80s when I went to renew his accident policy. Bloody nice guy, still seen at The Abbey, along with Barry Duke, spoke to Dukey last week in Argos store, north Swindon. Works part time in an Oxford hospital operating theatre. Martin Crashby still has his motorcycle workshop on the outskirts of Marlborough, friendly modest guy. Broady the Red Devil still lives in Swindon area. Fav ten tracks New Cross, West Am, Ackney, Wimbledon, Wembley, White City, Swindon, Worky, Coventry, Reading,...least fav Kirky Belle Vue Newcastle, IOW.
  10. Blimey Riley didnt know that. Remember seeing Seb ride at Worky for IOW with Boycey 2004, and think he rode for Swindon 2005. Smashed Workys unbeaten home record. Wheres he now?
  11. Christ you Poms are so sensitive...Have all the named in my CD collection...harden the feck up!!
  12. Prince Madonna Wacko Jacko Springsteen Queen all far superior. Never heard of Iron Maiden, Metallica?
  13. And Quick Step and Side Kick, the 3 Twins were huge in the 80s.
  14. Can't really understand the Bellego signing. Swindon probably first team to track 2 French-born riders. Will be croissants, baguettes, brioche, horse burgers, wine, on sale at snack bars replacing last year's vegamite, roo burgers, timtams, meat pies, Iced coffee. Sedge is a nice geezer a bit unlucky to be forced out.
  15. He said Sedgy looked the fastest, 3 rounds to go though, come on Morra! Big pile up Tunny and Sedgy
  16. After the first round of the Oz champs would be a long way off comparing the young duo to Darce and Noddy.
  17. Bruv had chat with Sir Leigh and Morra at Gillman, signed his Robins prog board. Sedgey broke Leighs track record!
  18. Bruv in Adelaide sent photos and said big crowd very hot evening. Sedgey broke Leighs track record the previous evening! Got Leigh and Morra to autograph his Swindon Robins prog board. Big crash involving Tunny and Sedgy.
  19. No a bit further round the board the purple ones with the Town and Wildcats. Arkells Brewery and the dog's are the 60 quid Brown ones.
  20. I remember in the 60s was my fav rider, we went to West Am when New Cross closed just to watch Bjorn.
  21. Swindon Robins are on the new Swindon Monopoly edition I got at Chrimbo so Monopoly must know the goings on up on Blunsdon Hill.
  22. Just repeating what Mike Bowden said to me last week.
