  1. Smash em swindon cos if you lose again you will be red-faced and the season will be over. 60 plus 20 plus GO ROOBINS!!
  2. Yep closed 53 years ago, the same year as my team New Cross, remember seeing The Great Briggo ride for the Saints. Massive population in the massive conurbation, I lived in Bursledon for a wee while.
  3. Went to the white isle about 6 years ago for a meeting, was a friendly place, hardly any passing and a crowd of no more than 200. When you consider 1740 turned up at the first meeting in 96, its not easy promoting the sport on an island with around 140000. A club on the mainland around soton and pompey would have better support probably. Good luck IOW.
  4. I'm tired of people constantly avin a go at my old local team the Wall, I went there once and a football match broke out. They also respectfully hold a minutes violence when someone has passed away. No one likes us we do care.
  5. Used to be easy 40 years ago to hop in...not now walls much higher, stewards, and I'm 40 years older! Remember the 1968 gb-Sweden test, more queuing to climb in than pay...official attendance was 12000.
  6. It is sad, just as bad as those that talk about back-straight bogs at blunsdon, started by that keef character A splendid victory indeed, nearly as good as the 2012 Grand Final you recorded for me
  7. Cant believe some people thought it wasnt topnotch sport, watched football, gaelic football, and other sports this weekend, incomparable to the speedway at blunsdon. Follow snooker or f1 instead.
  8. Hope you pay up chap. That Shovlar geezer, bit of a dorset knob at times and ex swindon fan, was pretty spot on. At least half of Roobins fans on here were pessimistic.
  9. Great win for swindon, should have been more of a knobbing for poole. Doyley and tunny excellent. Looked to be good racing, superb heat 15. Watched it at my stepsons in ireland, he had never seen it before and the swindonian loved it. If all the robins can click at once can beat anyone. Onwards to the black n gold country manchester and essex and hopefully grab that play-off place. Go Roobins!
  10. Superb 4 points for the rampant Roobins, with Doyley proving he's number 1 in El. Glad Batch left the Abbey. Come on lads we can beat Lakeside to the play-offs.
  11. One of the best gp series in years...keep going Doyley you can do it son! Iversen Matty Killer struggling this year. Greg still number 1
  12. British Masters Grass-Track meeting Lower Stanton between Chippenham-Malmesbury on Sunday starting at 1.00...ex-robins Nicholls, Kennettl Wrighty and Bomber taking part
  13. Have never watched grasstrack, is it similar to speed way...main differences?
  14. Can someone tell me the remaining home fixtures for the season, and the best method of travel, we live in swindon. What size crowds are at smallbrook this year.
  15. Well done Wolves and Woffy...will increase interest and crowds for Elite run in. Swindon signed Wardy last year to get them into playoffs, crowds shot up. Little chance of playoffs this year.
  16. This was mentioned at Blunsdon last week, may pop down the m4 for this.
  17. When my bruv spoke to Doyley and North in Adelaide neither were keen on Rosco to be polite! Rosco like most fans is deflated by no movement on the new stadium, will he carry on as team boss, wouldn't be surprised if he walked away.
  18. Swindon is the bestest place to live for me...central for most places, surrounded by great countryside and some splendid village pubsand the Cotswolds, the downs, thames/Kennet and Avon canal, we have the delightful magic roundabout what more could you want. I like living in Haydon End. Recently voted 27 in best places to live, although the town centre is a bit crap. Bournemouth Poole came only 46th. Great beaches but loads of druggies misfits and shirtlifters down there. Swanage is superb though.
  19. Don't know how peeps can say the aces are weak at home when they have only lost one home match, to the Swindon Roobins, Christ knows how they won that!
  20. The Leicester crowd could be under 1000, will this be the shabby farewell meet?
